  1. I was contacted by an agency to work as a care manager for senior bridge. The rate they are offering is $60 and $40 per case depending on the type of visit.
  2. Check with health insurance companies in your area. Do a Google search for the companies and apply directly through their web site. You can also contact any nursing agencies in your town, they sometimes have job listings that aren't posted on the normal jobs sites. Good luck.
  3. Congrats to you! I'm relocating from NY to Richmond next week. My becoming a nurse gave me a career as opposed to a job.
  4. Never pressure but my own decision as to whether to continue my education in nursing.
  5. First job was in a residential substance abuse program in NYC
  6. Hang in there, you can do the job. Don't let another nurse intimidate or rush you! Take your time and do it correctly. It won't be long before it's second nature. Good luck.
  7. There are lots of them. Greenkey, Pathway, Access, Excu_search to name a few. Hope this helps. You can Google them for contact info.
  8. You may want to start contacting nurse recruiters and agencies to get a feel for which one hires new grads.
  9. LPN in NYC working in quality and the pay was $45/hr. Friend just hired at $92,000/yr! Working in quality pretty much pays LPNs and RNs the same except for supervisory or management. The pay is usually between 70 to 90 annually. Working in quality through an agency can pay 32-45/hour. I'm relocation to Richmond VA and am nervous about the loss of income!
