Heyrenee, Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that. Yea, I understand your disappointment, but don't give up. I heard some people took them a couple of semesters applying to different schools before eventually getting in. on November 12.Look, come February, you can apt to Cerritos and lbcc which are lottery and you just have the same chance as everyone else. Then there are golden west college and saddleback. I know people with 3.0 Gpa on science prerequisites that got in both those school. Goldenheart10, I just received an email today from PCC saying I was accepted with contingent that I passed the Teas test scheduled on Nov 12 (which I already took and passed). I will forego my spot at PCC cuz it's too far. Good luck to you.

Yes, they told us alternate to come to orientation just in case e get in. Maybe I'll see you there. Which school are you awaiting and hoping to get in?

Golden heart, Congrats! I had 69.5 points and was was told 66 was the cut off, I called and talked to them wondering what happened to my application. Turned out I forgot to include the letter from hospital verifying my 200 hours vonluntering, so they took 4 points off from me, so I'm an alternate. I was so mad at myself, stupid mistake! All the hardwork I did was for nothing !!! Anyway, congrats to you and good luck with nursing school!!!

Wrestler133, Yes, I just received the letter from Santa Ana today saying that I'm alternate #3. I'm so hoping to get into the program there since it's really close to my house. Please let me know when you receive the letter from Santa Ana, if you are turning in it down, it'll definitely help my chances of getting in. Thank you and good luck with Nursing school!

Just received a letter from Santa Ana college today. Unfortunately, I didn't get in :-( I'm being placed as the 3rd alternate. Just wondering if anybody knows the chance of making into the program in Santa Ana as an alternate? Did anybody get in to the program? Good luck and please share the news....

Yea, just found out I'm pregnant, so there is no way I could make the drive up there from Orange County ( traffic in la is crazy) for school and clinicals. So I'm just gonna stay local.. I hope we will both get in to Santa Ana, fingers crossed..

I just received my acceptance letter from Glendale college today. Unfortunately, I have to turn it down because the school is so far away from where I live I'm hoping for Santa Ana or Cypress.

I just called Santa Ana college again today, and was told they have finished reviewed the applications, and letters will be mailed out next week, by Friday November 1st. Getting close to the results, I'm getting anxious and impatient .. Haha..

Wrestler133, Congratulations!! I'm happy and excited for you too!! Great news! Get ready for Nursing school :) I just called Santa Ana and was told 180 applications were received and they will mail out acceptance letter the 1st week of November.

They said in 4 weeks. So, we should hear from them the week of the 28th.

I know...darn it...but hey, if we are not getting in the Spring, at least our points will go up for the Fall application period. To answer your earlier question, I got 88.7% on my Teas, with 69.5 I don't think I'll get in to Santa Ana. But I'm hoping to get into Cypress since I have all 30 points there. I really hate this waiting period, just want to know if we get accepted, so can start making plans...

I just checked Santa Ana College and they changed the point system as of October 1, 2014, which will affect the Fall 2014 applications. For us, who have already applied for Spring 2014, the old point system is what they used. That's my understanding, unless I'm missing something...

Hi! I've applied to PCC, GCC, LBCC, Cypress and Santa Ana for Spring 2014. I was rejected by LBCC , and I really hope I'll get in either Santa Ana or Cypress since they are closer to home. Santa Ana makes their decision pretty quick, so we should hear from them in 3 weeks! heyrenee, Did you get into LBCC?

Received my rejection letter today. I have an A.A, 4.0 Science GPA, and 3.2 overall GPA. Oh well, hope I'll get in somewhere else. Good luck, everyone!

awww, I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, kinda sucks for people with good grades with the lottery system. But I'm very sure you will get into Cypress, since you have all 30 points. So, don't be so disappointed. I haven't gotten my letter from LBCC, but I really don't think I'm lucky either...
