Post-Masters Nurse Practitioner
Hi, I have my MSN in Leadership and have decided to go back to school for my AGAC-NP. My undergrad GPA is 3.11 for various reasons (working 3 jobs through nursing school, going to WGU for my BSN/MSN, etc). Professionally I'm a competitive applicant (I've been a nurse for 8 years, with certifications, charge nurse and preceptor experience, etc.) but scholastically I'm not. I have applied to 2 local schools, Georgetown, Vanderbilt, and Duke - denials from all except 1 of which I'm on the waitlist. Can you all provide me with other reputable schools? I'm open to hybrid. Or would it be easier to find a reputable school for FNP and then obtaining my AGAC-NP after? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you.

CSULB Nursing Fall 2021
Sorry... to clarify, when I asked about second degree applicants I meant a post-master’s applicant.

Post-Masters Acute Care NP Programs
I’m applying to CSULB and CSULA. However, my BSN/MSN was a pass/no pass system which translates to a 3.0. Combined with my ADN my average is 3.11. I’ve been a nurse for 7 years, have my PCCN, and charge/teaching experience but I’m afraid I won’t get in because of my GPA. What other programs (online or hybrid) have good reputations for their Acute Care program? Thanks in advance.

California NP's
I am looking into becoming an NP, I live in Los Angeles, CA. I know there are different types of NP's but in my work experience I've only come across Family NP's. Is that the only NP field that California really utilizes? I was interested in the Acute Care NP field but in looking for schools I don't see any other program offered apart from the Family NP license. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

BSN in 6 months?
When did you do the 50 credits? Thank you for your feedback!

BSN in 6 months?
I've been doing quite a bit of research and have gotten different stories. I am due to start WGU in Feb 2014. I have 89/120 credits needed for the BSN. Are 31 credits possible to complete in 6 months? I am typically a fast learner and have taken plenty of online classes. Thanks for any input!
