  1. Hi, I just completed the RN-BSN program at SNHU and loved it. As with any onling nursing program you have to be diciplined but the work is very doable. I work 40+ hours and as long as you keep up with the paperwork and readings you will do just fine. The instructors are very helpful and respond quickly to your questions. Good Luck!!
  2. Hi sherri12, I am getting ready to start Chamberlain's FNP program this May. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I was thinking of doubling up on my core classes also but want to know which ones do you recommend I do singly? I work 40+ hours a week but am at a point where I do not have big family responsibilities anymore. Your posts have given me great insight so far into Chamberlain's program. It is greatly appreciated!!!
  3. Thank you Kathleen, You have given me great insight into the Chamberlin NP program. I will be finishing my online BSN in February and plan on applying to Chamberlin. What you have explained seems very similar to what I am already use to. If you think of any other tips please keep me posted. Thanks again, Lori
  4. The accreditation is going to be complete this October/November, they have already had site visits. All degrees completed prior to this date will be considered CCNE approved. I plan on finishing my BSN in February :)
  5. Hi cburton21, I have now completed three of the RN-BSN classes with a remaining of two classes to go. It has been a great experience. It does take a personal commitment but it is totally doable while working full time. I have found the program so far very informative and pertinent to the current nursing issues. There are discussion posts, papers, group projects, etc., as in any of the other programs. If you decide to attend SNHU you will not be disappointed.
  6. Thanks Kathleen for your prompt responds, I totally understand that working full time is not an option the further you get into the program requirements. Have you started your clinical rotations yet???? I assume from all of the other posts that it is difficult to work full time while committing to the required clinical hours. Also can you elaborate on your comment of "having the procedures down"??? What does that entail?? I am so analytical and want to dissect all details before committing to an FNP program. I guess my bottom line is do you like the program and are you satisfied so far with the educational experience? Thank you again for your responds to my post it is greatly appreciated!!! Lori
  7. Hello WIS Nurse, Did you end up starting the MSN-FNP program in May???? If so how do you like the format and the work load so far?? I am finishing up my BSN in February 2015 and am looking into online FNP programs. Investigating all options and possibilities....any suggestions? :)
  8. Hi Kathleen, I am currently looking into NP online programs and Chamberlain, Frontier, and Kaplan are high on my list. After reading your post it appears that Chamberlain is a good choice. Is there any other pointers or tips you can throw my way??? Like how much actual time per week do you dedicate to each class, are you able to work full-time, was it difficult to complete 2 classes at a time, etc. I know school is a big commitment so I like to have a good idea of what I am getting myself into. Thanks, Lori
  9. Hello, I know it has been 2 years since you started the Purdue program but I am highly considering doing it too. Any advice? I am also stressed since I haven't been in school for a long time.
  10. Did you end up going to the Purdue Calumet program??? If so how is it.
  11. Can anyone give me some input regarding Purdue's RN-BSN program??? I have been accepted too but also want more information before I commit.
