  1. Thank you. I'll try my best!
  2. Congratulations to you! I'm getting nervous now. Taking mine on the 22nd
  3. I'm in California. I'll have to wait for 48 hrs to access the quick results service. My heart will not be able to survive that long lol
  4. All four of my friends had the good popups and they passed. How was your exam? Were there a lot of SATAs, drag and drops?
  5. Congratulations on officially becoming an RN. May I ask what resources you used to study for your NCLEX?
  6. I am glad that I took paper version because it was easier for me to underline the important words and faster to review when I had time. For me, the exam is similar to the Manual rather than the online ones. Some concepts in the online practice tests are way beyond. For the science, I suggest that you focus on hypothesis test like why an experiments need to be repeated. DNA, RNA, basic functions of body surface structures, photosynthesis (structures and functions), gennotype, phenotype, basic chemistry like knowing how to identify atomic number and atomic mass. What nucleus includes. What happens if we change the neutron numbers... I had one question on Punnet square and it was easy. Know how to read a codon. I think videos on youtube explain very well on this. Overall, it is kind of straightforward and not tricky like problems on the online practice tests. If you go through the Manual and really understand the concepts, you should be fine.
  7. I did the exam today, and I have to say that the actual TEAS exam is easier than the online practice exams though. It is quite similar to the two practices in the back of the ATI Manual. I almost ran out of time in the reading part because there were many passages to read. Sometimes I just skimmed and look for the answers. The rest is okay for me. I did not expect that there were many hypothesis questions in the Science section though. I could not sleep well the night before because the nervousness kept waking me up. Now I have to wait for like a week for the results. Anyway, keep up with your studying and practicing!
  8. I did the exam today too! I think I did not do quite well in the reading part because there were many passages to read and answer. I ran out of time in this section but managed to guess and fill all that were remaining. The rest is just okay for me. Now I have to wait more than a week for the results.
  9. Thanks tbird88! I received a 72 on my online practice test assessment B. I have improved but not too much. I feel not so confident to take this test because English is my second language, and I am kinda slow reader. Reading portion for me is not too hard, but I need more time to read carefully and think thoroughly for correct answers. I don't know what to expect on the science portion since people say that the questions are too random. But I make sure to go through the manual many times so that whenever they give me an basic concept, I can answer correctly. I hope you are doing okay. Manage your time for studying and good luck!
  10. Thanks guys! Will see how it goes. I am studying my butt off on science and reading portions. I need a 75 to pass this test but I am aiming for something in 80's to be a competitive applicant.
  11. I did my first online practice test 2 weeks ago and scored a 67, then I continued studying my weak areas. I just did my second practice test today and received a 72. I wonder how much everyone here scored on practice tests comparing to the actual exam. I'm taking my exam this weekend and kind of nervous now. If you don't mind, sharing statistics is highly appreciated.
  12. Im taking my exam next week. I purchased the book and have studied for about 4 weeks now. I got the same score on the online practice test assessment A last week. Hopefully I improve my score on the B one tmr. Keep practicing. It is just annoying when I keep feeling anxious as the exam is coming
  13. I'll take my exam next week. I bought the ATI Manual and McGraw Hill 5 Practice Test and studied on and off for 5 weeks. I have also felt so nervous and terrified of this exam because my score on practice tests are almost the same as yours. Since I have read your threads, I somehow calm down a bit and think I can just keep cramming for 1 more week. I will post my result on here when I get my result. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
  14. Born in Vietnam, have been living in San Jose CA for 3 years and currently a pre-nursing student
  15. Thanks for replying, that would be very helpful. To be honest, I am a shy person who never spend time for community activities or something like that. I've been in U.S for 2 years and I'm not cofident at my English right now. By my efforts, I'll do all my best!!
  16. Congratulations! I know how great you felt. By efforts, it was all worth it! I'm going to be a prenursing student. Now, just very confused how I would do it.
  17. I'm a new pre-nursing student. I heard that as a nursing student I must volunteer a lot because it's like getting experiences and it would be easy to get jobs after graduating. Is it right? If so, how many volunteer hours should be enough. Thanks for all advance!!
  18. Hi all! I'm going to be a pre-nursing student at a CC in CA. I moved to the U.S and have been attending in a High School for 1+1/2 year. I also have been looking for all the stuffs I would do in college but it seems like I don't knnow anything because I used to get crazy when I did it by myself ( got very confused!!). Now I wonder how I can take enough 90 semester credits in college. I had calculated allthe credits of GE courses and the major science courses. It was still not enough. Anyone here has any advice. It would be very appreciated!
