HELP!
I am sure you have not forgotten everything. Don't be afraid; be encouraged. Continue what you are doing! Write back to say how you did on the test.

HELP!
I don't know about the PN exam, but at this point just try to relax. Your exam is tomorrow so try to do some review like lab values etc. Also, try to do something fun to help you to relax.

Best source for practice questions?
I meant to say answer questions in test mode, not study. :)

Best source for practice questions?
A good thing to do is to get into the habit of answering questions. After you answer each question, read the explanation for the answer. Then, move on to studying questions in test mode without reading the explanation; this will give you practice for the NCLEX. I used Kaplan to prepare for the NCLEX, but since you cannot afford that right now, I would suggest practicing as many questions as you can. If you would like, go to Kaplan's website; they have a free practice test as well as a free strategy seminar. The next practice test is June 30 and the next strategy seminar is July 3 but you have to register. I hope this helps you.

Thank you for that additional information! I also responded to your first post.

Questions for Diabetes Educators
Mudwoman, Thank you for your response; your insight is very much appreciated! I have considered joining the American Diabetes Association, and have taken some of their CEUs. I have an upcoming webinar with the AADE today actually. I am also looking into joining the AADE but the membership fee is more than the ADA. What is the advantage of one association over the other? I will look into those things that you have suggested to try to get my foot in the door. I am not sure how the job market is here in Florida for diabetes educators and I am certainly willing to relocate. Thank you again!

Questions for Diabetes Educators
What were your experiences in getting into diabetes education? I have adult bedside nursing experience but my most recent experience is in school nursing being assigned specifically to diabetic students in an elementary school. I have a strong desire to become a diabetes educator and I am aware of the requirements for the CDE exam. How do you qualify to get a diabetes educator position before taking the CDE exam?

Burned out and hate nursing
Its been almost 2 years since I made that post! I did get a position as a school nurse that same year. This past school year, I was assigned specifically to 5 diabetic students and now I have a strong desire to pursue being a diabetes educator. I know this will be a challenge! How is your career progressing?

Burned out and hate nursing
I am curious to know how you were able to get a medical review job. I was very unhappy, stressed, and drained by bedside nursing which I did for just over 4 years. I left my last job but still currently unemployed. I feel stuck, and I am not sure how to go about branching out into a non beside nursing position such as yours. Any advice would be helpful.
