Hello! I am taking the plunge and changing my career and going into nursing , which I wanted to do always. I always had. I need your expertise, I am 32 and obviously do not have the luxury to be in school for a long time. What would I need to do? I hear do not go to state u because the pass rate ain't very good. I heard Kanawha Community is fair. First of all do I need to take any course before my BSN? I have read that I need to take my preRecs. And what is a ADN? I heard both ADn and BSN can get you ready for the exam for being an RN. Do I need to take the extra 2 years? Or can I just go straight to the BSN? My goal is to be a NP. Thank you I. Advance for your priceless advice.

If I may ask you fine nurses and nursing students an advice. I do not have a degree, I have researched and researched the best way to accomplish my goal. I do not have any pre-recs completed. Do I have to get those pre-rec completed before I get in to a BSN course? Lets say at West Virginia State University? Do I need to go to a community college first? Like KVCTC? Thank you in advance.- Soon to be BSN graduate...and frustrated
I have been thinking about psychiatric nursing. If I may as you what was your path? Did you start as a CNA? Or straight to a BSN program?- Things I wish I would have known when starting Nursing School
Thank you Sara'- Things I wish I would have known when starting Nursing School
Hello everyone. I am in need of some advice. I'm embarking on a new journey at 32. Unlike many of you, I do not have the luxury of time. I've researched a few ways of completing my goal to be an NP or a PA. I would like to to get some suggestions from the actual nursing students. What are your paths? From the beginning. I do not have a Bachelors degree so I need to start from day one. How would I go about on doing this? And am I too old? Thank you so much in advance for your suggestions and advice. - 32 to old?
