  1. They didn't give us our point values. I know I had at least 80 (60 from gpa, 20 from teas). Possibly more from having some of the coreqs finished.
  2. I went to concentra in Livonia today and was told they were out of the ppd test. The Romulus and Novi locations are supposed to have it
  3. They did not give us time at all. Yes have to get cpr by Nov 6th. I don't think you have to go anywhere specific for the drug test
  4. Congrats!! I also received my acceptance today. Woo hoo!
  5. Thanks I'll look into that
  6. Let us know. We also have to have our CPR license, which I do not have. Just ridiculous to give us a week and half basically to have this done.
  7. Could they have given us any less time to get everything done? My doctor doesn't have the ppd test, so I have to call around and find someone who does
  8. I was super stressed too about the Teas. Just take a deep breath and relax. Don't second guess your answers. Take your time. I really think if your getting in the 70's in the McGraw book, you should be able to pass with at least a 62 with no problem. Just go over your problems area today and relax tomorrow before the test.
  9. Yay!!!!! Oh man, my mail doesn't come for an hour. Congrats wen!
  10. I used the McGraw practice book so I am not familiar with the ATI book. Does the study guide also have practice tests? If not, I would take one practice test first as a baseline. Then you can see which concepts you are struggling with and focus on improving in those areas.
  11. I used the McGraw book in order to study for the TEAS, my scores were similar to that of the practice tests. What I did was look at the concepts I was getting wrong and studied them so I learned how to do them. For example, fractions are not my friends. I Google searched how to multiply, add, subtract and divide fractions. That helped tremendously. You should be fine. Just continue the next couple of days to see what you are scoring the lowest in and concentrate on improving that. Don't stress too much, the TEAS is scary when you take it but then you forget all about it soon enough.
  12. From the nursing department: "The students who applied to the Nursing Program were sent letters by mail—the letters went out yesterday afternoon. You should expect to receive a letter regarding your status tomorrow or Saturday. "
  13. The response from the nursing department: "The students who applied to the Nursing Program were sent letters by mail—the letters went out yesterday afternoon. You should expect to receive a letter regarding your status tomorrow or Saturday. "
  14. Since it seems like nobody has received a letter, I sent an email to the nursing department asking when we should expect to hear. They normally reply fairly quickly (plus its nice to have the answer in writing)
  15. I wonder if anybody will get their letter today. I didn't. :/
  16. I was so sad when I opened the mailbox and I had nothing from WCCCD The wait is starting to stress me out
  17. I was told by the nursing department two to three weeks after the deadline of Oct 3rd. So we should hear between Oct 17th to the 24th
  18. Hopefully then we will find out this Thursday the 17th. That would be amazing.
  19. Oh my goodness, has it been 2 to 3 weeks yet?!?! The wait has already been long but it now seems to be dragging since the application deadline date has come and gone. I hope we all get in and get to meet one another!
  20. "Yes, there was an administrative decision to extend the deadline for the Spring 2014 application submission to October 3rd. The students who have submitted their applications will be notified approximately 2-3 weeks from the deadline of whether they have been accepted or not into the program. There should sufficient time for students to prepare for the upcoming semester. For the students who are accepted they will receive a packet and attend an orientation session that will assist them in preparing for the Spring 2014 semester. " That was the email I received from the nursing department when I asked about when I should except to know acceptance. Perhaps people who applied earlier get to know earlier? Hope so because I do not want to wait until December to find out :/
  21. Thanks for the encouragement ChefJackie and Darien
  22. I also contacted the nursing office and indeed the deadline has been moved up to Oct 3rd. However, I was told acceptance letters would be sent out 2 to 3 weeks after that. So we will still be getting letters at the same time as if the deadline was in September.
  23. They told us 6 to 8 weeks from the deadline. I really hope they didn't extend it any farther. I would like to know asap if I was accepted, as I'm sure everyone else wants to know. I might be going to Disney in Jan but I need to know nursing dates before I can book anything!! Oct 3 means we wouldn't find out til mid November to early december
  24. I purchased the McGraw-Hill Teas Practice Test book. About three weeks before the test, I took the first test. The things I did poorly on, I went on the internet and learned how to do correctly. Repeated for all 5 tests in the book. I got a 90 on the reading, and 97 on math, which is what my school looks at. So it helped me. Its not overly difficult its just reviewing concepts you've learned in earlier classes.
