Im confused. You need an RN to precept for a NP student? I am and will always be against programs who refuse to find preceptors for students. Too many horror stories. Good luck in your search!

MSN or DNP?

Has anyone heard anything further? verified my application was received but still havent gotten an email.

I submitted my application back in December. I called to confirm they received it. made sure email was correct, etc. still havent heard a thing.

I applied to the Oncology/ Adult -Gerontology and really hope they make decisions for the specialties at different times. Maybe this week i'll hear something. fingers crossed!

I applied to HBOI campus MSN Adult-Gerontology. I have a 3.6 gpa, BSN from Drexel University, and 3 years of ICU experience. I've also applied to USF'S DNP Oncology/ Adult program. Figured its smart to have more than one dog in the fight. Have you heard, can you work during the program?

I'm not sure if the undergraduate Nursing Reasearch requirement is a hard and fast rule or not. Perhaps call the MSN-FNP advisor and ask. I've spoken with the advisers several times and they were always helpful. I also applied to the HBOI campus but chose the adult-Gerontology path instead. Let me know if you hear anything!

Thanks for making this post! One question comes to mind: 1) How does a perspective CRNA student meet CRNA's to shadow? Many schools require a reference or letter of recommendation from a CRNA. I am an ICU travel nurse who seeks to build a relationship with a CRNA or two to the point of being able to comfortably ask for a letter of recommendation into CRNA school however, this is challenging when doing 13 week contracts. Thanks again!
