  1. I am 40 and have been back to school and achieved Associate degrees waiting to be accepted into nursing program. I am obese and scared it will cause problems with nursing school. My science classes are done but I scraped by. So scared that I won't have what it takes to apply it all for nursing school. Losing my manufacturing job made me rethink career path. Anyone else over weight, older, and scared out of their wits???? Also study tips would be helpful, I am a chapter outliner, but I heard that this is too time consuming for nursing classes...any suggestions?? Thanks Michelle G.
  2. I fell old but I am starting first year nursing this fall and I am turning 40 in 10 days. I went to college after high school and talking about being an under achiever all my hs friends are lawyers, doctors, and professionals. In reality going back to school now is much better and I am paying attention and enjoying my classes. Its never too late and enjoy life, don't rush, and from someone who has been around the block--always tell those you care about what they mean to you and that you love them. Life goes so fast and then they are gone. Your young and have a great head on your shoulders just slow down and enjoy life.
  3. I am starting in August too and will read the book you suggested. My road is like yours and I am so scared of failing. Everyone says I can do it, I just needed to have confidence and relax because I know the material. I am like you getting all vaccinations, tests, and physicals done. CPR was easy, have fun with it. Hope to chat soon and wish you success!!!
