Thank God- I Passed!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just wanted to share my good news with everyone. I PASSED, I am an RN. I cant believe it. I'm so happy. Good luck to rest of you who are waiting for results and are waiting to do the test. Keep positive!!!

I just completed the NCLEX exam. Glad I only got 75 questions, but I dont know how I did. Think I messed up on one of the math questions. Got about 5-7 SATA, priority and pharm questions. Dont know what to think. In some cases it was hard to choose an answer so I went with my gut. Wish me luck! Thanks for all your support.

Let me jump in here since I'm studying for the NCLEX as well. Think it's a great idea to share random questions. Rubella is spread by droplets.... I'm doing the Rayfield Review course this week and I'm really enjoying all the strategies I'm learning. I haven't set my date yet but want to do the test near the end of June. I got my ATT this week and will definitely setup the date this weekend. We're all in this together. Good Luck Everyone!

Hello All, I graduated in May and will be sitting the NCLEX sometime this summer. Still waiting for my date to test. I have been using the Rev and Rationales comprehensive and I like it a lot. Just wanted to find out if anyone else is using it or has used it. I also have Saunders and Davis's. I will also be taking the Sylvia Rayfield's review course this week. Good Luck!

I will check to see far my commute to wellstar is and give them a try. I really want to do L&D and I live just around the corner from Northside.

Hello All, I'm a new RN graduate and I have applied to a number of Atlanta hospitals but have not had any positive leads. I will be taking the NCLEX in July. Let me know if anyone knows of any hospitals hiring people like me. Gwinnett Medical Center's RN Residency program is already closed until next year.

Thank you 12BRN for you prompt response and for all of your help on this site. Do we really need to have all 3 days off (Mon, Wed, Fri) for lab and clinicals, an do we have them all 3 days? or lab days and clinicals 1 days?

I will be attending NGCSU at North Metro Tech. I'm trying to plan my schedule as I will have to work at least part time. Can anyone provide some general information on what the class schedule is going to be like. I spoke to the office and they said lecture will be one day a week but we will have lab and of course clinicals. She said to set aside Mon, Wed and Fri. What I would like to know is about what time of day does clinicals and Classes start and end. Aslo what days and How soon does clinicals and lab start after the semester begins. I got accepted to NGCSU North Metro location but now realize that I would be better off attending the Gainesville location since I live only 22 miles away as opposed to 45 miles away from Acworth. Are there instances when one is allowed to attend classes at another campus when they have been accepted at the different one?. Gainesville location would make my life so much easier eventhough I am looking forward to meeting all the friends I have met here (allnurses.com) who will be attending the Acworth Campus.

Looks like we're going to be the 30 or 40 something class of 2007. I'm in my mid 30s too and happy to know I will be among peers. I have a BBA degree in Computer Info Systems. Spoke to NGCSU Nusing Dept today, Linda said we are required to attend both Advisement and Orientation at the Dahlonega campus on 8-15 and 8-17 respectively. I'm really not looking forward to making that long drive both days but she said that's the only way I will be advised. As for the Shoes and uniform, I live in Gwinnett do you know where I find those at reasonable prices?. I will be moving over ot the Cobb area sometime August.

The location for NGCSU ASN program is North Metro College in Acworth. I just got the information in the mail today. Thank Goodness! Now I can finally proceed with my plans.

I am looking for a part time job in one of the hospitals in the Marietta area since it looks like that's where the NGCSU ASN program will be. The location is still not definite yet but the nursing dept says Marietta is the most likely. If anyone works in a hospital in the area and knows of any opening or any other info I would appreciate it. THANKS IN ADVANCE

Called the school yesterday and was told the contract has not been signed so they cannot give out any info until that time. Linda said the students will be notified via mail. .....Still waiting

I'm starting nursing school this fall at NGCSU. I am leaving the IT field so I have no medical experience at all. I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to do a CNA or PCT course so I can get my foot in the door of a medical facility?. I will have to work part time while in school but I want it to me in the medical field so I can start garnering valuable experience. Do I need both the CNA and the PCT, one or the other ,or none at all? I am certified in First Aid. Your advice is appreciated!!!

For those of you waiting with bated breath as I am for the revelation of the exact location for the ASN Cumming\Alpharetta (NGCSU) this fall, the latest word I got from them this morning is that they will know for sure by the end of this week. Let's keep our fingers crossed.....:)

Congrats! So which one are you going to choose? I just got accepted to NGCSU- Cumming\Apharetta campus. Gainesville would probably have worked better for me since i live in Duluth. The users on this site seen to really like NGCSU. I'm glad I got in. I know it's a lot cheaper than GBC and Brenau.

Would like to know where to look for Grants and general financial aid for second degree nursing students. I know I don't qualify for the Pell Grant since I already have a degree, but I just want to know if there were any other sources out there. Your help is appreciated!!!

Congrats to you too! Hope to see you in class this fall. I did appy for he Windy Hill campus. This new location means I will have to move from Duluth to the new area. Luckily I have been kinda planning to move already.
