  1. I'm in Florida also. I just checked and the BON site says I passed! Use this link: Default
  2. I took mine yesterday, as well. I'm also playing the waiting game. What state did you take it in? In some states you can view your results online with your BON before the license is up or quick results are available.
  3. Hi. I am also taking my NCLEX-RN on June 10th. It is very nerve wrecking. I think most people find the SATA style questions the most challenging. I know that they are certainly not my favorite. The approach that I like best is looking at each choice as a true/false. For me it really simplifies it when it feels overwhelming. When I start to feel panic coming on about my upcoming date, I like to take a little break or review a topic that I am a little more comfortable with- it helps boost my confidence.
  4. Sorry this is gonna be a little lengthy. I used the teas study guide but supplemented that with additional resources. For instance for chemistry I watched videos on YouTube of a chemistry tutor to refresh. If you read something in the study guide that you don't quite get, then find a way to get more info on it. I like watching tutoring videos because its someone teaching you. I even used videos on YouTube that were 20 minutes long for the English section. I would sit there and take notes like I was in class and then make flashcards. There are a lot of threads on here that I read too about other people's studying tricks. Two years ago I took the teas 5 & got a 73, this year in May I took it and got an 87.3. I didn't study the first time, I bought the book, but didn't use it. This time I studied, made a plan & did practice tests. Ever since doing my nclex I find doing practice test really helpful just to get you in question/test mode.
  5. The program I am starting is two semesters, fall and spring semester. All pre-reqs must be completed prior to admission into the program.
  6. When you go to get the drug screen paperwork make sure you take the orientation paper too. It's in the packet, it says something about you will be attending orientation etc. I gave them the confirmation of payment I printed out so I could get the form to take to Quest and the lady says I've got to give her the orientation paper first... good thing I had it with me.
  7. Also, when you do your drug test go to the Quest website (after paying for the test per the instructions in the packet) and schedule an appointment for your test at your chosen location. When I did the drug test a couple years ago I didn't make an appointment, I was there for hours (not much fun when your dying to use the restroom ). Today I went in with an appointment, I was done in 15 minutes .
  8. There are a couple in Hernando. Their website is careoneofflorida.com
  9. PPD $15 at Care One. They do physicals and titers cheap. This is where I got everything for the LPN program two years ago.
  10. My gpa is 3.6 I think and my teas score was 87. I live in hernando.
  11. Just got my letter & packet for transition program! So, excited! Congrats to all who got their letters too!
  12. I would call admissions or the nursing department at west campus.
  13. Nothing in my mail either. Poor mailman, I was watching him from the window... He looked uncomfortable with me watching.
  14. Haha! The lawn chair idea is great!
  15. They just send a confirmation that your application is complete & fulfills the requirements to apply. It's just a formality. If you applied on the deadline or very close to it, maybe it takes a little longer to get to you due the increased number of apps turned in on the deadline.
  16. I'm a LPN. I was just curious about the paramedic thing. I know they only let them apply every other year so I wasn't sure if there is a ton of paramedics waiting every other year to apply.
  17. I'm so happy I can come on here to get my "fix" when I start to feel anxious. I have not told anyone that I have applied because I'm so I come on here to obsess! Has anyone heard of any paramedics applying for the transition program this year? I know there are 24 seat available to them, but in 2011 only 16 were in the program (according to a post from that class). I'm not sure how they decide the number of paramedics to accept out of the 24 seats (I hope that makes sense). Does anyone else have better insight into this?
  18. It doesn't really make a difference but the anticipation is killing me! I've got to occupy my brain with something, so those dates will help me focus for right now.
  19. Does anybody know when the committee meets & how long it should take to get letters? My application confirmation letter just says they will meet after the deadline.
  20. I applied to the RN transition program today. Pre req GPA: 3.6 TEAS: 87%.
