  2. Have you thought about doing something that doesn't involve direct patient care, such as Legal Nurse Consulting? You can make pretty good money with that, and you wouldn't have to put up with the environment that nurses face on a daily basis. And there wouldn't be any crabby doctors to deal with either. You could also finish your degree and become an instructor at a college or trade school. I'm not sure, but also I think that doing nursing research for research labs don't involve too much direct patient handling. There's a few more nursing specialties that don't involve too much direct care, while offering a decent paycheck (promoting medical equipment, etc.) Best of luck in the career search, and keep your head up!
  3. I am in your situation exactly. I have been in school on and off for over nine years, got married and had two boys, which took some time off of schooling, but I was pinned on Mother's Day weekend, and it felt glorious. Nothing feels better than success after many years of hard work...congrats to you and your family for your bright future ahead due to your hard work and dedication.
