  1. pretty sure it meant that it will have one on screen. i've never heard of anyone using their OWN calculator. Although i have heard of couple people say they didn't have/use a calculator which just sounds brutal...easy problems or not.
  2. did you read the questions first or the whole passages first?
  3. did you see any Biology questions in the A&P section?
  4. nice! any tips?
  5. I feel you but never give up! i took it three times going onto a fourth. First time I didn't even qualify and the last two times I didn't score high enough as I need to score in the 90% to get in my program. But I'm really determined, they gonna SEE ME. Go the extra mile to get the other materials (not just the elsevier study guide) to study since you know what to expect from the exam. Like grammer books, reading comp workbooks, A&P books, math for nurses, apps, etc.
  6. what did the McGraw Hill GED book help you with? Grammer & Reading Comp? thinking about picking that up.
  7. Anybody use other reference books to study? (not the "HESI" study guides). ex: I read some used Barron's EZ A&P to help study for the A&P. I think I'm looking for a grammer & reading comprehension practice books. any suggestions?
  8. im practicing writing those conversion down every day, thinking about doing a brain dump before i start the math section, but i don't wanna waste time.
  9. thanks for feedback. yeah ive been relearning proportions type problems.also i was just doing the basic adding, subtracting, multiplying, diving by hand in the practice books, since i don't know if we were gonna have a calculator. for the ones that took it; is the math section a combo of fill in the blank and multiple choice? or just multiple the choice?
  10. reading throughout this fourm i see many say the math was easy. for those that have taken the exam, what type of measurements in the math section should i concentrate on? im really not good at math period so im really doing all the practice tests i can. and the only measurements i know off the top of my head are 12in=1 foot, 3ft= 1yd, and 8 cups= 1 ounce. also worried about the word problems.
