  1. I totally agree with everything you said!!!! I have a friend that just graduated in NI and cant get a job. Been an ICU nurse for years and went to school for IN and its just not out there, anymore. But they did use her for that one week too help train the Doctors, until everybody was up too speed. Then sent her right back to ICU. SMH so sad.
  2. That is actually a GOOD idea. I will be doin that myself.
  3. What school do you go too? The school im goin to be going to is accelerated as well. They told us if you work full time, it will be very hard too keep everything going. Im switching to part time, just cause I want to be prepared. Good luck too you. And dont give up!!!!

I hate that fact at my school they want us to wear all white scrubs. Like really? Who wants to wear white all day, every day, 5 days a week. I hate that.
  5. Congrats!!!!! Hope to be getting mines soon
  6. Okay Im super confused> They have an LPN online course? I was told there wasnt for LPN's and that you already had to be a nurse to be able to take online courses, (RN to BSN) and so on. So please let me know if thats true. I am currently a Medical asst and getting into the LPN school this fall. Thanks.
  7. I live in ATL and there are lots of LPN jops at clinics like "Wellstar" and "Kaiser" and I believe they have one in Southern Cali. I use too stay out there. In Escondido and Oceanside. So try looking into a clinics and doc offices, if you dont want to work at an LTC. I agree with the other post who said you probably wont get a job in a Hosp. I work at a very good, well known hosp in Atlanta, Emory. and they do not hire LPNs in their hospitals. But they do in their clinics and LTC. So just keep lookin, keep your head up, and sometimes you have to roll with the punches. Good Luck too you!!!
  8. I will be taking my Kaplin test next friday. I am soooo nervous. If I pass, well when I pass, I will be starting in Oct. I also have to take the LPN route, then bridge over online. Im fine with that. Im just ready for the change in my career.
  9. Have u ever thought bout jus working in a doctors office? I knw u probably wanna be in a hospital. But I rather work in a doc office, Mon-Friday, maybe a Saturday a month. And having nice benefits w vaca.
  10. I'm applying for two diff schools. One is Dekalb tech Mon-Thurs 8am-3pm And Bauder College 8am-5pm Mon-Friday. Each program is 12mos but I won't have to do the 1st semester Cus I finished some of the classes already. I want to become a nurse because, it's in my blood. That's all I know working in the medical field. I finally decided too live my dream and get it done. Choosing the LPN program Cus is quicker and I can work, while I bridge over. DeKalb tech is $8,000 and Bauder College is $30,000 plus includes books, labs and state test.
  11. I'm takin my teas test on the 30th and I'm nervous as hell!! I hope I pass. Im studying up on my math and science now. How are the scinece question? From reading this, pretty much know what too expect from the math. And thank u ladies for the helpful tips.
  12. I say the samething. I'm currently taking the test for the LPN. And I don't wanna stop there but, that's jus where I chose too start. It's easier for me being a single mother. I'm not in school for a longer period of time. I can work and make a decent living, while I support my family. It jus works out for me rt now. But I def encourage u too keep the education goin. I know I will!
  13. Congrats too u!!! What program are u goin into? I took my Wonderlic test today. Passed as well. Now it's time for me to take the TEAS test. Is the HESI and TEAS the same? I knw they are both nursing enertance exams? I'm jus wondering.
  14. I'm taking it for the LPN program. I took it today and passed. Had to get a 18 for theLPN and a 24, for the RN. I got a 22. So looks like, I'm moving to the next round which is, Kaplin test. And I gotta take the TEAS for another school, I'm applying for. Do u knw if the Teas and Kaplin are alike? They are both nursing enterance exams. And I really jus wanna study for one and take both. What do you think?
  15. Thanks!!! What happens after the Wondelic test? How's that tests?
