Is it your experience that most hospitals send letters notifying you that you weren't chosen for a job (i.e. rejection letters), or do you just usually hear nothing back from them? Thanks for your feedback!

Without boring you with all the details of my particular situation, I'd like to ask a question...... For those of you who have received job offers from hospitals, did the job offer begin as verbal, or did you receive an e-mail or other written offer as the initial offer? I haven't had a drug test or physical yet, so obviously any offer I received right now would be contingent upon those, but just curious how it has progressed for others. In the past, it has worked both ways for me (an initial Paramedic job offer years ago from a local EMS agency came via email). Thanks for your feedback!

Best wishes for your journey!" I respect your opinion, but it is not always just a matter of how hard you are willing to work or how determined that you are. I understand what you are saying, and agree that those things are critical in these situations, but every situation is different. For me, attending a B&M school or traveling extensive distances would likely not be feasible. I do not work a fixed schedule, and work primarily during the week. It would be nearly impossible for me to work full-time AND be able to make classes even if it was local, due to the class start times and availability. I am single, so I must work full-time. I am determined, and will complete my educational goals, but there are more complicating factors than just will and determination. Have a great day. =0)

I wanted to follow-up on my original post. I used the Kaplan NCLEX complete online review course. I loved it! I feel that it prepared me very well. I tested again yesterday, and the system shut off at 77 questions. I used the Pearson Vue trick and got the "good pop-up"! For those of you that are unfamiliar with the "trick", I'll explain. After you finish the NCLEX log back into your Pearson Vue account. Once it indicates Delivery Successful (meaning they've transmitted your results successfully), try to reschedule the exam. If you go through that process and it allows you to go all the way to the Credit Card payment screen, that indicates that you failed. If, however, you receive a pop-up screen stating "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time", that means you passed! People have used it for years now and its always proven to be accurate. I have only found a few people claiming that they could get to the credit card screen, but in fact passed. SO, right now it looks like a pass for me.....YAY!!!!

Unfortunately I have taken and failed the NCLEX RN twice. Obviously my past strategy hasn't worked. I would like opinions regarding Kaplans Complete RN review (on-demand online version), Hurst (online), and ATI (online). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I realize that this is an older thread, but I was hoping to get in contact with you NC Girl BSN!! I have recently joined this site and apparently can't private message until I have made enough "quality" posts. I recently graduated from EC with my ADN. I am just waiting on my authorization to test letter so I can sit for the NCLEX. I will be looking for a job soon and since I am just a few miles away from the WakeMed main campus I plan on inquiring about a job with them.
