  1. Hi, I applied in the Spring, it takes a few weeks because a board has to go through all of your application, recommendation, essay etc. On the NLN I did exceptionally well on the science (study your ass off for the science), everything else was good. I went to Barnes & Noble & bought the Review Guide for RN Pre-Entrance Exam 3rd Edition by Jones & Bartlett. I did the whole book plus googled every site possible for info. After you take the exam you get your results asap as well as the school. Then after you've gone to orientation, interview etc then you get to choose what division you want to attend (day/evening). Any other questions feel free to ask
  2. Nice to meet you! I'm definitely going to join the group :). I'm actually studying now (med surg) to get a little comfortable since I have the books from Phipps' & Brunner & Suddarth's med surg nursing from Trinitas SON.. & I picked the evening division since it's much easier on my schedule but who knows maybe I can do the morning, It's a possibility.
  3. I also had a hard time taking the exams. The quizzes were easy, but the exams were "foreign" to me. I figured the problem out, I didn't know how to apply critical thinking to the exam questions so I went on different internet sites & practiced. It is a skill we need to practice thoroughly, give it a try... I found videos on Youtube, just search critical thinking in nursing :) Good luck!
  4. I also am starting (again) this January. I took a couple years off for a surgery, life & career changes etc. & time does fly! I'll be starting my second clinincal (Med-Surg) at a different nursing school. Good luck to us all!! Let's not forget to keep in contact with one another :)
  5. Either an E.R. nurse, obstetrics, or work for a plastic surgeon.
  6. Hi everyone, I'm Lilia & this is my very first post here @ Allnurses . I'd like to know if anyone else is presently attending the same nursing school. I'm a transfer student from Trinitas SON in Elizabeth, NJ.. & will be starting in January NURE 120, Medsurg @ Christ Hospital.
  7. 2 weeks, 6-9 hrs daily, I took it today, it was surprisingly easy =)
