  1. Does anyone know when they will be sending out emails to place a deposit for your spot? I thought they said early August but just wanted to confirm if anyone had heard anything else.
  2. Nice! Just saw it thank you. Are the class of 2025 or 2026? Can’t remember.
  3. Has anyone started a facebook group for our upcoming class? Very excited!
  4. Hoping for you! It seems like they have just been really delayed this year and their responses have been staggered in terms of interview decisions.
  5. Congrats! Where campus are you interviewing for? Yea I think they are still rolling out interviews
  6. I think maybe part of the process this year was the fact that they removed the GRE requirement. It probably removed the barrier to apply for lots of applicants, hence why they took so long to get back to us. That allowed probably a more diverse group of applications, which makes it probably difficult for the admissions committee. From my friends who have gone through the program, their stats are similar to everyones here...
  7. I think what will happen is VCU will reach out again for interviews for the applicants who were not able to interview. I don't think everyone will accept and they will offer those slots to other applicants!
  8. Have they reached out when they would be rolling out the interviews if they were offered? That would help with the timeline I guess?
  9. Not sure, but from the thread last year it seems that there may not have been one.
  10. From the previous threads, it looks like they reach out via email?
  11. I had a friend who recently went through Georgetown's application process (they were accepted) as well as other schools and they went over some of the questions they were asked.
  12. I think this would be a great program to participate in. My hospital currently has a great program for nps/pas and it seems they come out very prepared. They perform the same work hours as the medical residents and are immersed in their teams. If I was an NP, I would absolutely want to have that structured experience. Unfortunately, it feels like the NP educational system as a whole feels disjointed
  13. How has everyone been preparing for the interview season btw? I think the hybrid format makes it a bit awkward, but there are so many resources out there that it makes it difficult to focus. I've tried mock interviews with EI questions, but it seems like it's mostly random from program to program.
  14. Yea I would imagine they stick with their timeline given the amount of applicants... Btw, has anyone updated their NursingCAS applications after the deadline? I wasn't sure if we also needed to reach out to the school if we did so...
  15. Ha! Well, the waiting game terrible regardless. And congrats to your friends! Still seems awkward to have a "pre-recorded" interview, but I guess it could be worse. Were your friends also heavily involved in research? That's something I'm lacking in my resume...
  16. Agreed, even more stressed because I just discovered some small typos on my application! The system made it hard to double check/edit (Grr nursingCAS) and now I'm doubting my application...I didn't want to call the school to change it and point out my mistakes... The fact that there are so many applicants this year doesn't make it easier haha. Oh well, I guess I just have to see where the cards fall.
  17. Congrats! From the posts above, looks like they'll reach out sometime in April. Is anyone applying to the Alexandria campus?
  18. Hi, great to see this thread. I'm a first time applicant, new to the process. Not sure how everyone fared obtaining shadowing experiences during COVID. I was able to talk with the admissions office, and they said they did not require any sort of shadowing experience due to the pandemic and would not expect anyone to do so. Glad they did away with their GRE requirements! Seems a bit outdated to have that. Good luck to everyone- NursingCAS is really frustrating, so get your materials in early!
