  1. Oh ok. Thank you. Just wanted to make sure! :)
  2. Did any of you guys get your books already?
  3. Can I have your email? I'll send you the conversation that i had with the lady who's currently in fourth semester right now. It's just too long to post it on here lol...If you don't mind!
  4. No problem :) Ill let you know if I hear anything else!
  5. Yeah the NLN accredited is making me lean towards Pierce more too because now tht the job market is really bad. I want to have as many options as possible. Since Pierce is NLN accredited and if its going to open more ways for me to get a job (cause like I said some hospitals look at that). I think it's the right decision to choose Pierce. It's up to you if you feel like Gcc is better for you then go with that. I also heard GCC program is good too! Talking so someone who actually is going there right now made me feel a lot better about Pierce :)
  6. This is what she said, " Overall, the program is a good way to really learn what nurses do and the responsibility that comes with the job. It's a good program in that sense and the instructors are actively employed in the area. So they bring in their work experience too. The program has a good reputation in the valley, if that's where you plan to end up."
  7. Yeah, she said we start med surg second semester. 3rd is labor and delivery with a little more med surg and 4th is pediatric and more med surg. I'm not sure if they have mannequins that we can practice on, I didn't ask but I'm sure we do. I think all nursing schools do. Yeah, I'm also an alternate at Pcc too and I was thinking the same too if they call me and offer me a spot, will I take it? Now that I talked to this girl who's in the fourth semester right now. I'm leaning more towards Pierce because she said pierce had a good reputation in the valley and plus its NLCN accredited (which idk if that matters) but I heard some hospitals look at that when you're trying to get a job like Kaiser :/
  8. I know!! It's coming up! I'm excited yet nervous at the same time too lol....so I was talking to someone who is in the fourth semester at Pierce right now and she said it's a good program. She said the program gets harder and harder (ofcourse) lol. She said at the end we will be spending a lot of time in clinical. She suggest that it's important to form a study group no more than 5 to motivate and help each other. She said in the beginning it's going to take us awhile to get used to the teaching method there because all they do is just lecture and not a lot of class discussions but we'll adjust to it and get the idea of how the class is going to be. Also we're required to pay for Kaplan access for the nclex prep every semester to help us get prepared for the nclex when we're done :)
  9. No not yet! They're taking forever! I'm checking my email every 5 minutes! Lol
  10. Oh ok thank you! and yes we will be busy! Oh god, I'm kind of nervous though lol
  11. Yeah. My registration date is may 28, but we won't be getting the info packets until June so I was confused if I should register before? Or wait till after I receive the info? Yeah, keep me posted please. Thank you :) did you look up the schedule for fall 2013 yet?
  12. Did you get your registration date yet?
  13. And thank you for following up :)
  14. Hey. No I didn't get anything yet. Yeah, they're taking forever! Maybe you should call them and ask. I called them 2 weeks ago and they said they're just waiting for people to take the teas :/
