  1. I didn't try checking BEFORE I took the test but the good pop up will make sense BEFORE you take it because it says you have a scheduled exam, right? But when you check it AFTER, if it still says you're scheduled that will be weird since you're finished, hence the good pop up.. If you failed it should let you register again.. I got the good pop up yesterday and my license is now posted on the BON website. :) Congrats to us!
  2. Hi, I'm also from the Philippines and I can tell you that you can pass the NCLEX without Hurst or Kaplan. I just recommend you read/answer Saunders, Kaplan course book and PDA by Lacharity.. Exam Cram helps too. Download some apps for your phone.. And don't worry about test scores as long as you get above 60% in every practice tests I think you'll do good, I took the nclex yesterday but before that I did some practice questions and I had a lot of wrong answers but I couldn't back down I just went to the testing center, prayed and read every questions. I just got the good pop up and my license# is already posted on the BON website today. I basically studied 1 month for 6 hours a day, had to quit my job too! I know you can do it just believe in yourself!
  3. Hahahaha okay i'm sorry, I swear I'm going crazy but your comment made me smile. I'm officially a USRN!! AHHHH.... Okay, no more questions your honor. Please excuse me while I celebrate and enjoy this moment! Yayyy!! THANKS GUYS!
  4. Thanks for the response, guys! I would just like to clarify this, so the license expires from the day of your license application and not from the day you took the nclex? Because I sent the application last year and it will make sense if it expires this year..
  5. Yes, that's what I'm worried about it's October 2014, my birthday is October but only 5 months? that's really weird. What gave me hope was the license number and the status which says active. Hopefully it's true!! Thank you!
  6. Crazy, right? I just cannot believe it! Ahhh! So happy beyond words.. And that makes sense! My birthday is on October! Thank you :)
  7. hello nurses, I took the nclex yesterday, stopped at 75 then tried the PVT as soon as I finished the test, got the good pop up. Tried it multiple times until today, still having the good pop up. So I decided to check my state's BON website, found my name and license number and next to it says active :) Should I be confident and tell everyone I passed? I mean, the license says active but the expiration is on October 2014, why only 5 months? I'm confused I don't know if that's normal..But I think I passed? Well, regardless I would like to share my story.. This wasn't my 1st attempt. I took it last year around April, also stopped at 75 tried the PVT and went to CC page. Days later, I got the mail saying I failed and got near passing and below passing standard.. And I have no one but myself to blame, I know I didn't do my best I was working full time and I had no time and energy left after work. And I procrastinate a lot, that's my biggest weakness.. I took it again this January, I was still working full time and pushed myself to study after work.. This time computer stopped at 265 and I had near and above passing on my result. it was close but it wasn't enough... I was really depressed I didn't want to go out and see my friends, I was embarrassed. So just last month, I promised I'd be a different test taker and this is gonna be the last time I'm taking the exam, I had to quit my job, 1 month of full time studying should be enough, that's what I told myself.. No more distractions. I went to the library and borrowed 3 books. Here's what I used 1.) Exam Cram 2014- only finished half of it 2.) Saunders Q&A- I did 1000 questions 3.) Kaplan Strategy Book- finished around 500 questions I also have this app, NCLEX MASTERY and I recommend it I got it for $2.99 last year when it was just starting now I believe it's selling for $29. but even if you buy it full price it's still SO WORTH IT. And please don't forget prayers! they work! Everytime I had difficulty answering the questions I stopped for a minute or two then pray.. I didn't want to fail again.. Ask and you shall receive. Just believe! keep the faith! I didn't have a study plan because I realized that NCLEX is very random so I just did questions and look up content that I have no idea or forgot about.. I graduated nursing school 4 years ago from a foreign country and it was difficult to motivate myself to study again.. I felt like I'm going in circles and hated how I let time passed by without taking the exam.. That's my biggest regret, I think NCLEX won't be as hard when you're fresh out of school. So for those who recently graduated, just do a lot of questions and take it as soon as you can!! don't wait too long.. Thanks also for the support guys! It was quite a journey!
  8. 7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.…. - Matthew 7:7
  9. Thank you for the answers. Yes, I had to apply for another one, can't use the same ATT even if it's not expired yet.
  10. Thanks for the response guys. And I now clearly understand why B.) Pain scale of 1 is the answer.. I chose the wrong answer which is A, because I was only thinking about the effect of morphine in a person's RR but reading your rationale further explains why you really have to THINK before jumping into conclusions.. Thanks! Again, answer is letter B
  11. Answering PDA by Lacharity right now. Question, 5 minutes after giving morphine to a client experiencing chest pain, which data indicates further action? A.) RR dropped from 18bpm to 12bpm or B.) Pain scale of 1 What do you think?
  12. So I took the exam this month and unfortunately failed, but my ATT is expiring some time in March.. I'm planning to take it again by Feb.. So do I still need to send an application to BON? Or should I just pay Pearson vue and that's it?
  13. Thank you for the response guys! My weaknesses, to be specific, are Cardio esp ECG.. and Pharm.. So far, good feedbacks for NSCBN learning ext, anyone else?
  14. I'm not sure if I should enroll to their 5 week review.. You see, I failed twice already and. I can't afford to waste some more money on things that won't really help me. Please let me know if it helped you in passing the NCLEX, thanks!
  15. Thank you so much. I will try again in 45 days, I won't giveup.
  16. just an update.. Unfortunately, I didn't pass. Can't believe I had 265 questions, by 200 I was drained already and was just answering the whole thing.. I got tired Went home and tried PVT, went thru CC page. I'm so devastated. I had like 20-25 SATAS I wasn't prepared for those, i must admit.. is it true that reaching 265 means the computer just cannot decide if you pass or fail? So you think I was near passing? im so sad right now.. I cant believe i failed again, i did well in nursing school.. Maybe the fact that i graduated almost 4 years ago is whats giving me a hard time now..
  17. Please send it to me as well, i took my exam the other day and failed at 265 ;( email me at [email protected]
  18. I'm taking the exam tomorrow and I'm anxious. I'm currently enrolled in hurst online review, my Q review scores are 79/125, 84/125 and 88/125 I still have 3 qReviews left.. do you think that's a good score? Am I ready?
  19. Congratulations! I'm also using Hurst Online Review for my 2nd attempt.. I hope I pass this time, just like you! :)
  20. Thank you so much! For hot spots, what I'm doing is whenever I'm studying and something unfamiliar comes up, I google the image that same moment so I become familiar with it. It seems to be working for me, again, thanks! and good luck to us!
  21. Me too. I seem to always get SATAS wrong -.- Can you post the link for NCLEX 3000 here? I'm taking my exam next month! OMG
  22. Hey, like you, I failed my first time too.. But I'm taking the exam again this winter and I'm determined to pass. Don't lose hope! We can do this! Keep the faith! Good luck :)
  23. Thank you so much! I badly want to pass this time..
