Hi Melanie this thread is actually for students who applied this past august. We are actually starting our nursing classes this week. I believe there is another thread though for people applying for the fall 2014 program so you should check that out! That way you can talk to students who are still doing the application process.

I also have in my notes not to buy the access code until class started. So we were the polo tomorrow with white pants and white sneakers right? And did someone mention that we have to be wearing our ID badges as well? If so how do you plan to attach it to your uniform? Ugh I'm so nervous! I've done all the unit 1 reading and our first math assignment and all online stuff but I'm still stressed I'm forgetting something! Ah I just wanna do well lol!

So I went to do some math homework tonight and I realized I have the fifth edition of calculate with confidence so the page numbers weren't corresponding with what the sheet says they should be. I emailed one of our teachers but I was wondering if any of you guys know if I will need to get a new book or not? I'll be really upset if I do :/

So ready for this stuff to get moving, ive ordered all my shirts and pants, still need to get all my books and my decal and ID. And a book bag of some kind. I just want classes to start so I can get in to some kind of routine!

I don't plan to decline but I couldn't find a form for the actual vaccine just for the declination. So I haven't gotten it done yet. What does your form look like?

Also is there any paperwork for the flu shot or do we only have a form for the declination? I didn't see a flu shot form for when we get it in the packet.

I did my finger printing yesterday as well. How do you know what to register for? Is there a reference number we were given?

So all my scores are showing up on the application but there is no green check next to my micro and anatomy grades. Is that normal? Should I call on Monday?

No calculator and Scrap paper is provided. You can't take anything into the testing room with you.

When did they start accepting more? I went to the info session in may and they said they still are only taking 70, but were thinking about opening another program at the vero campu soon.I never heard about chastain and okechobee!

No you don't need it before applying. If you get accepted you need to have it done before classes start.

I got the same on my practice tests as I did on the real one.

There wasn't a ton of physic but definitely more then I would have liked. I never took physics so that part was difficult for me. Probably between 10-15 questions related to the physical sciences. But I will say that if you did any kind of practice tests, your at an advantage. I did five practice tests and scored the same on those as I did on the real one so I definitely recommend buying a book and practicing!

I did pretty good! I got a 143, which with my a&p and micro grades will give me a total of 175 :) hopefully that's enough! It was tough though and make sure you eat before you go because I was starving by the time I got to the science section!

I have the lecture with Fischer at the slw campus and my lab is with Bowen also at slw

Just took my finals and looks like I pulled off two A's! Hopefully I can do as well in micro! What exactly do we focus on?

So just took my lecture final and got a 108! After my lowest test is dropped and quizzes are averaged in I will end the class with a 99! My lab final is tomorrow and already I know I will get an A in there as well! I'm so happy! So see you can do well in summer courses even with kids and work, just set your mind to it! Good luck to everyone else!

Just curious, what did everyone get in a&p? I think I'm going to end with an a in lab and a b in lecture. I'm also taking micro next summer session, anyone else take it yet?

Why don't you apply to IRSC too? It's a commute but it may be worth it

I know I don't have 3, but I have an 8 month old who's teething and starting to crawl so I have my hands are pretty full as well! I just had to find the time to study, usually a few hours after baby's bedtime. Also I brought my flash cards everywhere with me and studied them while pumping gas, in line at the store, or in traffic. I also recorded lectures and listened to them on my commute. You CAN do it, just set your mind to it!
