What to do when a patient falls?
I too a new RN. I was left to handle 30 patients by myself (no preceptor) after a week and 3 days training. I had my first fall last Friday and didn't know what to do. A nurse from another floor helped me all the way. Reading the previous post, I would like to ask a question. If a fall wasn't reported, as in the previous post, and it turns out weeks later that patient has a broken bone, who is at fault? How do you document that to cover yourself?

Digging Deep
Nclex is not about smart or dumb. The smartest person can fail. I graduated from nursing school May of 2012. I took and failed the board twice. I passed on my third attempt. How did that happen? What did I do differently? Only by the work of God. Really! It was not by my might, nor by my power, but by his grace. I studied harder the second time around than I did the third. This time around, I did the Hurst review. I only listened to f&e, gi, endocrine and the cardio lectures. I did questions, but not many. I was too overwhelmed. "Only God can do this for me," I said to myself. Not me; not anyone. My prayer everyday was asking God to help me get through this. I fasted once a week. I wrote down my heart's desire on a sheet of paper and placed it in the bible under Isaiah 55, "...so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it..." I've been doing this forever, and it works for me every time. I will get anything I want once I put my mind to fasting. I know it's heartbreaking, but do not give up. You've come too far. Hang in there, and it'll work out for the best. I pray that God grant you your heart's desire. Be bless!!!

Is Pearson vue trick 100% true?
She's right! I too got the "good pop up" back in December of 2012. It turned out I failed. That was devastating! I sat for the exam again 2 days ago. Again, I got the "good pop up" message, "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. Another registration can not be made at this time." I once read the "good pop up" has to include, "Please contact your member board for further assistance." This statement was not in the last pop up message I got in Dec. Who knows?!? Anyhow, as soon as pearson vue system is up and running, I will check my result, and will keep you posted....God bless!!!

Pearsonvue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 3
Took the nclex December 26, 2012. Did the pvt 3 hours later and got the pop up message, "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam...Another registration cannot be made at this time." I attempted to register several times and again I got the "good pop up" message. I was more than excited! OMG! I couldn't believe I'd passed. "I am finally a RN," I thought to myself. Well, 36 hours later, I was referred to the cc page. I paid the $7.95 48 hours later and found out I failed Devastating! I took my test once again yesterday, 04/22/13, at noon. I ran out of time; ended at 205 questions. I did the pvt when I got home, and again am getting the "good pop up" message. It is my prayer that I made it this time. I am a nervous rack. Will keep you posted. Be bless!!!
