  1. I took mine at Baylor Univ. on 8/15/2013. I'm applying to Central Texas College for their ADN program. CTC doesn't require the science portions of the test. 90% average 96% - Reading comp. 84% - Vocab. 90% - Math
  2. Really? I've been hearing the opposite from a few people. I loved A&P 1 made a B in that. I'm hoping for the same or better for A&P 2. I haven't gotten the syllabus yet, but based off of the book list it's going to be a doozy. Lol
  3. Lots of you tube videos, flash cards and take pictures of the models in class. Also get astudy group together pretty quick and set up dates to meet every week. Repetition is key. There is tons of information to remember but keep on it and you'll do great! Good luck!
  4. I sometimes have the same problem with my husband. We don't have kids so that is definitely a plus for us, but he gets very sensitive about being "ignored" when I'm reading or doing work. He understands that I'm not doing it to hurt his feelings but it still gets to him. It got to him so bad that we promised to have a date night once a week and have dinner together with no TV or distractions, so we can chat about our day every single night. I know it's hard to set time aside but I don't like the stress it puts on our marriage so I work extra hard every night to avoid falling behind. He also agreed to do the dishes for me and some light house work so we can have that weekly date night. He will do more for me so that we can workout together on the weekends. It doesn't stop him from feeling "ignored" but he is trying to be there for me and knows I really want to be a nurse. I hope y'all can get to a common ground where he takes what is going on with your school life more serious and helps out more. Good luck. :)
  5. I just bought this book. I didn't even know there was a new edition coming out.
  6. I start A&P 2 in one week! I'm so nervous.
  7. My A&P 2 class is the same time slot. Ugh...
  8. Honestly, I wouldn't do it if you haven't taken a science in 17 years. A friend of mine was in the exact same situation as you and failed her A&P 1 class and she was only taking 1 science class with 3 other degree requirements. A&P takes up so much of your time and is so much to grasp. I'd take one science and see how you feel then take 2 next semester if you feel comfortable with the work load being doubled. You have a great GPA, I wouldn't want to mess that up if it were me.
  9. Congratulations! I can't wait to be in your shoes and starting nursing school!
  10. STUDY EVERY SINGLE DAY! Even if you are just looking something over for an hour or re-reading a chapter, do it. It is a lot of information and mainly memorization. You will get out what you put into it. Also, speak up if you are having issues. Talk to the professor and tell him/her what issues you are having. Do it early in the semester, most professors will help you as much as they can. Record lectures if possible and listen to them when you are doing dishes or washing clothes. It will really help. Good luck!
  11. I'm not there just yet, but good luck!
  12. I am new to the nursing world and aren't 100% sure on anything but I think the LVN and LPN is the same? They are both under an RN from my understanding. I hope someone else can explain it in detail. P.S. Good luck and I hope you can get your career going. :)
  13. Classes at Central Texas College start Aug. 26th and I'll have a full time schedule. A&P 2 M/W and Pharmacology, Interpersonal communication and Life Span Growth and development online. Let the fun begin!
