I'm getting so excited! I can't wait for orientation! It feels so great to tell people that I've been accepted though!!

I received my acceptance letter today!!! I have orientation on Aug 15th and class starts Oct 23rd! Can't wait!!!

Thanks! So excited!! I did get the form and yes I was planning on taking a couple of classes to fulfill the financial aid requirement. I also want to take classes that are for the ABSN program through MidAmerica, I talked to the lady at the school and found out I don't have to take any more science or English classes! I do have to take a college algebra and patho physiology so I was thinking of taking those two and they are only available online so they don't interfere with intro to nursing and dosage calc. I have taken classes online before but not sure those two are a good idea to take online.

No letter today either! I'm getting so Impatient! lol

I went to the school yesterday and they told me in the financial aid office that Kelly was having trouble printing the letters off and then had to re label all the envelopes with the new address. I am thinking if the letter doesn't come on Monday then I am going to the school and bang on her door!! It isn't going to stop me from stalking the mailman tomorrow and Saturday! haha

No letter again today! :-( I can't take the stress!! lol j/k

I have had some online courses and loved it. I am self motivated, I just wondered if the content would be harder to learn online rather than in person. Thanks for all the comments!!

I am trying to decide whether or not to take patho as an online course this fall. It is not offered in the classroom at my CC. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Yes thank you BigRed!! I was thinking/planning on taking the required courses for the BSN as well. If its not too much to handle that is. I am so excited to get started though!

I feel the same way, on the fence, because I like the idea of not having to lug all the books around but in a weird way I think doing that is part of nursing school! (Haha) I already have an iPad but I am a novice when it comes to ebooks. I know you can view the power points and take notes on them but I don't really know how to do that.

Jflem5 what do you think about using iPads instead of actual hard copy books?

I think that your score sounds pretty good, I scored a 91% this year and my classes are done. Last year a friend of mine got in with an 84% and she was doing micro in the summer, her letter said she was an alternate but that was just because she was currently taking micro. Then as soon as she finished they called her and she got in. Hopefully you and I get our ACCEPTANCE (wishful thinking) today! Good luck to you!

I only applied to NCCC, I really like that school and it is close to where I live. I was on the alternate list last year but my TEAS score wasn't great and I still had to take micro. I have finished all of my pre-reqs and scored much higher on the TEAS this year so I am hoping my chances are better. If I don't get accepted this year I may have to think about applying to other schools.

Same here, I was just sure today would be the day! Darn it! Is NCCC the only program you applied to?
