West Coast University spring 2019
Thanks! I’ve taken them all before the 5 year mark it’s just that they say there’s a rule where you have to take both A&P 1 and 2 at the same campus. also, would anyone know how the registration for classes go? I’m looking at getting this part time job since I won’t be in nursing core yet, but not sure of their flexibility of schedule and how class times will be. Would I be able to choose my own time for classes? I believe I’ll be taking first year seminar for sure for the first term.

West Coast University spring 2019
@slyvalleygrl @brandi737 Thanks all! I'm upset because I spent time and money in those prerequisites which are qualified at all other nursing programs! Statistics being one of them. I even sent the statistics syllabus and all the other proof of the anatomy & physiology classes to the registrar but she's given me no update! I guess I'll have to go in person.

West Coast University spring 2019
Is anyone having trouble transferring in pre-requisites to West Coast University? For example.. all of the pre-requisites I have are the required and valid pre-requisites for 99% of the nursing programs in California such as A&P I (BIO 430), A&P II (BIO 431 equivalent/BIO 26 at CSUS), Intro to Chemistry (CHEM 305 in NorCal) , Statistics (Stat 300 in NorCal). I did take A&P I and A&P II at two separate campuses. I have taken Intro to Chemistry which is the required pre-requisite for the nursing programs as well as statistics. However, West Coast so far isnt validating these. They will not take statistics as a transfer for their math course. Anyone have the same issue? I will be talking to the registrar.

West Coast University
Hi all. I’m considering attending west coast university. I have my prerequisites completed except for the courses they require to be completed at their school. I have a previous BS degree. My GPA for prerequisites is between 2.5-3.0 GPA. Are my chances of being admitted slim? what is the admissions process like? I’ll be attending an info session that is mandatory supposedly but I wouldn’t want to waste my time going if not needed. what’s the cost if I finished my prerequisites? How is the program in general? I won’t be working while attending. ill be moving from NorCal and unfamiliar with SoCal, which is a better place to live in? Orange County, Ontario, Los Angeles??

Brandman University ABSN Program
Hi All, I'm wondering if any one has heard of Brandman University. They have a new ABSN program in San Diego, CA that i'm looking into. My grades are not competitive but i want to get into my career soon. Has anyone been to this school, and if so, how did you like it? Do you think I'll be able to land a good job as an RN if I were to apply and attend? I'm nervous, since it is a new program! Such as, what if they end up closing and the degree won't be valid ? Thanks in advance.

Private BSN programs? Easy admission? CA
I'm in the same boat! I'm not sure what schools to look for. I've read negative reviews of the private schools though, however I've seen positive ones as well. I'm currently re-taking my pre-requisites

Re-taking science classes?
Hello, I need advice.I'm based in CA. I plan to re-take all of my science classes. Anatomy, phys, chem. I previously gotten a D in anatomy A C in physiology A D in chem first time, D second time, and C in chemistry on my 3rd try. The first two were a few years back. I suck i know. I am currently taking micro-bio for the first time and HOPING to get an A. I would have to retake CHEM to get an A, and it would be my 4th try!!!!! Anatomy and phys would be my 2nd tries. I know this sounds like a long-shot, but if I re-take the 3 science classes i've already taken and get an A, my nursing GPA will barely be at a 3.6.... I've seen some schools that allow for re-take of classes. Does it matter how many times you take it, though? I'm so scared that i'm wasting my time and won't get into any program I am looking into both RN and BSN programs. What are my chances?

Travel nurse or Missionary nurse??
Any experienced travel nurses or missionary nurse can tell me which one is a better specialization? I would like to go to school to become a nurse, specifically travel nurse probably but would also like to incorporate my faith making it a missionary nurse but I'm unsure of both and would like some details or experienced people to give me insight?

Freshman orientation Sacramento State Prenursing?
Hello! I am planning to attend CSUS this fall for pre-nursing. For those that are not freshman and have went through orientation for pre nursing, is it likely that I will get all the classes that I need if i go to the last available date for the pre nursing orientation? I am scared I won't be able to get classes and will be behind but it is the only date that I am available to go

pre nursing questions
Hello I am currently aspiring to become a nurse and to enter college as a freshman for the 2013 year and have been wondering these questions but not sure who to ask Are most CSU's nursing programs impacted and competitive as they say they are? What is the job market like for someone looking for nursing internship/job? Is it worth it to want to major in nursing when every one else wants to become one as well?
