  2. Tha ks so much for your help, my license is posted i just secured my job offer!!
  3. Thanks i mailed just the court papers and a statement explaining everything, i mailed to the same PO box i had mailed my 50 check to initially is that the correct address?? And how long did your license take to post? Thanks again!
  4. I have the exact same situation, no court just "arrested" as a minor until parents arrived, did they accept the form from the police department or what did you mail besides the statement?? Thank you!!
  5. Hi there! Im currently in the same situation in IL have passed my RN boards in june and had been waiting for my license, i did not receive any letter or email i found out today by calling, i had an arrest 8 years ago when iwas 14 for shoplifting, i did not go to court, it was station adjust and i was released to my parents, i was told the record had been disposed, my only thing is the arrest as well which i never had expunged bcs i never had problems before and didnt know it otherwise i wouldve done it along time ago!! Let me know any updates i will be going to the court tomorrow and mailing everything and starting my expungement process.. so disheartening after all the hard work
  6. Hi there!! I just graduated from harpers RN program this past weekend, how long did it take for harper to send i fo to the BON? And how long did it take for your att to arrive?? Ive sent my app and paid about 2 weeks prior to graduation along with finger prints, id like to get an estimate of time Thanks
  7. If you already have a bachelors why not go in to an ABSN program?? Youll just need the science core prereqs and they're usualy about 2years long I think? Adn is also a good choice do your science prereqs adn 2 years and rn-BsN is one year online Getting in is NOT hard! Ace the prereqs study for entrance exam and you're in that's how I got into my program Idk why anyone would waste their time going to north brook , Americare or ambria they're jokes just out for money you'll probably pay less for an RN program than an LPN program there. Unless you really need a job asap then lpn is a good route which is also offered at CLC.. Don't pay your way through those lpn programs many ppl I've talked to say they're self taught. Schools like north took have only had about one class graduate so far..
  8. For my clinical I bought all white nike shox from eastbay.com original price is 120 got them for 80bucks they had a sale event going on
  9. Advanced pharm is part of the 2nd semester... Pathophys is the prereq for that class.. Since youlll be starting in spring you can take pharm in the summer before the fall(your 2nd semester)
  10. Congrats!! Im halfway done through my first semester starting clinicals in a week! My only advise would be take patho in the summer but since you're starting in the spring doesn't seem like that's possible.. But maybe take pharm in the summer I wish I would've taken it now instead of next spring :/
  11. I work at alexian brothers :)! Well i actually work at the rehab hospital across the street from abmc I work the pm shift too but it might be a little different different. We gelp Pts with ADLs and we do showers on shift i think that might be a rehab thing though, we also check pts glucose, chart, collect specimens, blood draws as ordered, bladder scans, ecgs as needed, vital signs Q shift, tons of transfers in rehab , foley care, d/c foleys and IVs.. looking to switch to a different unit at abmc. Love the experience im getting and staff!!
  12. Non experienced CNAs can start from 9-10.. Really depends on the facility.. Most hospitals require atleast a year of experience... i worked in a jnuraing home for about 3 montha and would never go back.. I work in a hospital now as a PCT but i have phlebotomy and EcG certificates as well so they waved the experience
  13. Yes but theres not much choice. Make sure you sign up as soon as regustration opens because fhese classds fill up within the hour and youll find youraelf without a spot
  14. I took anaomy with DR. Hyde he was great! I loved his class! Make sure you attend lectures hes pretty funny but hates ppl who walk in late or fall asleep lol. For physio i took terrie kong she is awesome!! I loved er energy and she knows ALOT but shes also the gardest physio professor for microbio i took cheng shes a sweetheart and makes class fun lectures can be boring but this was my all time favorite class. I took physio and microbio together they overlap in material alot so theyre easier to study for you learn stuf teice lol
  15. Hi i was just accepted into harpers program for the fall '14. make sure you get bothing lower than a B in a prereq and score high on the NLN 80-90 percentile and meet their requirements for each section. I applied with 70 points out of the 90 Aced all my prereqs but had a B on anatomy and my NLN score was an 86 percentile. I used the NLN study guide by mcgrawhill which was exactly like the NLN its really all common sense for the most part but give yourself time to study for it. Study study study!! if you have to double up on bio makesure you do physiology and microbio they go together you review alot of stuff twice
