  1. Massachusetts threatened this too and hospitals paid over 25 million to defeat this bill several years ago. Pretty sure they're crying now because nobody wants to work bedside and they've been forced to almost double max RN hourly pay to keep us. They'll lie through their teeth to save money and avoid safe staffing.
  2. I make well over 100k part time, hourly pay 86$. Work in expensive state but live in inexpensive part of the state near (Boston hospital but live on NH border). Was bedside now outpatient fully remote. Shocked at how poorly RNs get paid in many areas of the US
  3. We only ever give nexium or prilosec by mouth. Zegerid is the powdered formulation specifically for people with NGTs/PEGs. Do you have this in your formulary?
  4. I think it would be a very kind, thoughtful gesture for you to send a note of sympathy along to the foster family.
  5. I've never worked in a facility with monitor techs. Maybe it's regional? I'm in Boston. RN's are responsible for all rhythm interpretation and for notifying the M.D. of any significant changes. Personally, I don't trust anyone but myself to be responsible for my patients monitor alarms but then again I work on a highly specialized arrhythmia unit and the expectations for rhythm interpretation are high. Ratios are 2-3:1 days/eves and 4-5:1 on nights.
