Any Canadian/International Excelsior grads out there??
Hi Chris I finished my ADN in oct 09 through Excelsior.I'am currently working in a SICU in San Antonio.I had absolutly no problem finding work down here and obtaining a TN visa was a breeze. The whole thing with Excelsior ADN program is that most states will not hire you until you have one years experience or 1000Hrs work experience that is what I'm working on right now.As for licensing in Canada that is a totally different story I have E-mailed phoned and written letters trying to find out if I qualify for licensure in four provinces.B.C,ALTA,SA,MA three said absolutly not they will not reconize Excelsior's nuring program but Saskatchewan said they will reconize me as a internationally trained nurse so I have just sent off all my paper work and hope I will be able to write the CRNE in Saskatchewan. Will try to keep you posted.

Nursing with the Canadian Forces?
loans are a drag but I know in B.C if you take a job in what they call an underserviced area they will pay most on your student loan debt off depending upon your time served in that area. Two new grads with 60,000 in student loans moved to port moody for this reason.I believe these underseviced areas are on the B.C ministry of health web site.your almost finished stick to it
