I just want to applaud you for hanging in there that long. I totally understand what you're going through. I was burned out as well just not as severe as you. I've only been a nurse for 3 1/2yrs and decided to completely change my area of specialty. The hospitals from my experience are really short staffed which is causing nurses to call out, feel overworked, and overwhelmed. It doesn't make coming to work at all enjoyable and that's when I realized this isn't for me and I had to do something about it vs complain. I love being a nurse so I don't see myself completely leaving. I love my new job thus far and I don't have to deal with nearly as much stress in the hospital!! There are less stressful areas you just have to find them. Much luck to you!

I got the same thing but I ended up getting my first job offer somewhere else. I start Monday so I'm excited and ready to learn!! I wish you all luck in your searches :)

I did all 265 and passed. I had pretty much the same things you had on your test. I wish you luck!!

A lot of these post were very heartless. It can be realistic but it doesn't have to sound as if you have no empathy. I think it can be done I know it can. Bring your GPA up and based on where you go repeating sciences can be a problem. I wish you the best of luck but if you want it you can do it. It may take time but anything worth having is worth fighting for!!

It took a week before my license even posted on BON -_- but I'm glad my state has Quick Results!!

Most of the time i thought hospitals look through the applications and then choose who they would like to interview. This job search has been tough but I know soon I will get something.

I did the entire test but I was calm and relaxed I just KNEW the Lord was watching over me because I had such a peace. I know nursing is my calling and it should be something that we as nurses and future nurses actually love. They did ask me a few immunization questions. The main thing will be critical thinking. There will also be a lot of SATA. I really took my time on my test because once you choose it theres no going back. If your test cuts off early or runs the entire time don't get discouraged. Pharm was on there but its impossible to know all of those drugs so the ones I wasn't familiar with I just had to take an educated guess and apparently that didn't keep me from passing. We aren't expected to know everything but know your basics. I only had about 3 math problems I believe. I felt confident walking in and I felt confident walking out because I didn't want to put any negative thoughts in my head. I can truly say you're going to probably feel like OMG I didn't know any of that stuff but its normal..lol. You got this!!

I understand how you feel. I took my test Feb. 21st. My kaplan scores were similar to yours. The main thing is to be positive and don't stress yourself out. Remain calm and DO QUESTIONS DAILY!! It is important to go over things because just like me I saw things on my NCLEX that I actually didn't know before doing my questions. You have got to go into your test with the right attitude! Don't doubt yourself you've made it this far and you're putting in the work so surely it will pay off. The anxiety level I know is through the roof I only got 3hrs of sleep the day before my test go figure! But I passed and at the end thats all that matters. You know that realistically you can't cover everything but some important areas to look at are priority questions, isolation precautions, and mental health, and I had about 3-4 EKG strips to identify. I know you will be fine you just have to believe in yourself. God Bless keep us posted!!
