  1. Hey! I noticed you're in Indy. I am too and am looking at Ivy Tech's ASN program- where did you do your schooling for LPN? Do you know if it still seems like a decent market for SENd? I was accepted to an ABSN program, but it is way too expensive!
  2. No need to be rude about grammar- plenty of people (nurses that I know included) use "an" in front of RN, and it doesn't make them stupid or ineligible to be a nurse. Why be so negative?
  3. Thanks for answering my questions :D Hey one more thing, they havent gotten back to us yet but how did most of your class get loans? does the school offer any kind of loans or recommend any kinds of loans? I'm nervous about the whole private loan thing
  4. Could you tell me what you know about the application process for the iu health scholarship? Like how competitive it gets, how many are there, etc? i am really hoping to do that!
  5. Cool, thanks!
  6. Yeah, I'm really hoping to find some scholarships. Jeeez. Can I ask if you found a good job quickly, and were you happy with the program?
  7. Yikes! So expensive. Have you been able to get many scholarships/loans to help? I'm still waiting to hear on aid from the school, but i did apply for all the scholarships they offer.
  8. Hey, okay so I do have a question about tuition- what has it been for you so far for the first few semesters? I was trying to use the tuition calculator on IUPUI's site to figure out how much to budget for but it seems too low...
  9. I'm so glad you mentioned it! I got registered luckily.
  10. Did you just do ti through Onestart? In the packet it says we can't until Jun 21, I wonder why it would say that?
  11. Whoa we can already register? Yeah I was thinking block one or block two!
  12. Thanks! I'll definitely take you up on that if anything comes to mind.
  13. I got my acceptance letter today! Yay! I'll have to do the CPR training for sure...
  14. Hey! Where did you hear that? that would be awesome, though I haven't gotten anything just yet
  15. For applying to start in the fall, your pre-req classes should all be done by the end of Spring semester prior. That's how it is for this year at least and that is what is on the website. And they include all of the pre-req courses you take in your final GPA for admission, so they do take into account your courses the Spring before. I would at least set up a phone advising appointment asap, unless you can go in person. I would do it as soon as possible, because there are a lot of things you'll want to find out so you're not in the dark, and you're definitely not far off from applying, so the sooner the better. Do try and keep tabs on any changes in the process; they seem to changes some things without telling us, like I found out that the class size changed from someone in the school, not an advisor or the site or anything. And definitely make sure to ask about the financial aid process and get good answers.
