  1. In addition to everything named all of those things cause stress. I get so stressed out sometimes by the huge level of responsibility. At one point in my career before my shift for a few months straight I would get diarrhea just from the stress. That's the main thing that makes me think about leaving the bedside.
  2. Wow. That's crazy. I'm not sure what state you are in but I'm from Illinois and orientation for nurses especially to a new specialty is no less than 12 weeks. I'm very sorry that this happened. I'm not sure if you would even still want to work with those people but I understand the situation as far as needing to provide for you and your family. I definitely think that you should contact someone. You weren't properly trained and 8 days in orientation is not enough to learn everything about a specialty. Your preceptor is there to guide you and direct you and give you feedback and train you on how to think like an adult icu nurse. I don't think you should be faulted as long as you are a safe nurse, the other skills can be developed.
  3. Tele nurse- aspirin, metoprolol, morphine, nitro-bid and heparin
  4. It is possible. I graduated from school in 12/2012 and I have a friend that failed the boards 3 times she just passed this summer. I passed the first try. If you got to ncsbn (I think that's right) they have an online review that you can take for 50 dollars for a few weeks. That's the organization that writes nclex. Good luck, it can be done

I am trying to get into travel nursing bt I don't know what company is the best. I have been speaking to medical express and aureus. I was leaning towards aureus at first bt now I'm second guessing it. I've heard so much bad stuff. Can anyone give me some ideas of some good companies to work for or your experiences with the ones above? I also filled out an application with cross country.
  6. Hi. I took math 114 by itself. E nursing classes are not really hard it's usually the devry classes at require the most work like math, statistics. I'm in statistics now. I have Econ, capstone and evidence based left.
  7. Hi. I'm enrolled in chamberlain due to graduate this July. I took soc 351 and nur 351 together. The nursing classes are very easy, it's the decry classes that require the most work. I hated cultural diversity. We had to write so many papers. The undergrad classes are the hardest.
