TO EBANK831 Thanks for the encouragement.. I completely understand how you feel...I lost all confidence in myself too and as time went on I had convinced myself that passing nclex would be impossible..then became depressed when I think of all the hard work and money put into going to school I cant just throw it all away...Im an older non traditional student and I really want to work as a nurse before its time to retire...lol..I feel better knowing I'm not the only one out there and you have given me a renewed hope too! I am going to get back into the grind and work hard on test questions out of a couple of resources plus also doing some ATI questions the website we used in school..Im also going to check into the Lacharity book and ncsnb review they sound like great resources too! Good luck to you too! We will be successful!

Is it possible to pass nclex-rn after being out of school for 2 yrs?
Hello: I need some help!! I've been out of school for 2 yrs and didnt take nclex right after graduation because of family issues etc. Took nclex this past april and didnt pass which left me depressed and scared to try again. Was wondering if it's possible to pass nclex after being out of school for so long? Was contemplating getting Saunders comprehensive review or Lippincotts does anyone have any thoughts or ideas? I was also going to get the book Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment practice exercises. I still have my handouts from school should I study that too? Im not sure exactly what I should do to be successful. I'm trying to build my confidence to do this again and would appreciate some input ..Thank you

LTC LPN wanting to go into corrections??
Hi all... long time reader first time posting...I'm a long time LPN currently going to school working towards my RN but I have only worked in LTC facilities and most recently on a Rehab Unit that is part of a skilled LTC facility..I want to do something different and was looking into working in a prison.. but I want to know what the pay and benefits are like? do they hire nurses with no previous prison experience? A few places I am looking at are PHS and CMS.. anyone know what its like to work for either of these? Do they have relocation, or education assistance? sorry for all the questions..I just want to know if it would be a good move to make... I am burned out in LTC. Thanks.
