  1. Thank you all for responding. I am interested in purchasing more expensive scrubs but I wanted to know if others actually found it worth it.
  2. I have a few questions about scrubs. What are your favorite brands to wear? Do you consider your favorite brand affordable? Which price would you prefer to pay for good quality scrubs? Also what are your favorite scrub colors to wear? Any answers to these questions are greatly appreciated. Thank you
  3. Hi, The program is going well for me. It is very intense. A lot of online lessons that are needed to be completed weekly. I work full time so I am sacrificing a lot of sleep right now. It’s doable just like any other program..
  4. Hi, I’m not sure if they have a RN program straight through. I only know of the bridge program. You definitely have to do your research on that part.
  5. I’m currently apart of the bridge program. Everything is going great so far. Professors are accessible and easy to communicate with. Assignments can be time consuming so definitely have work figured out prior to attending.
  6. Hi Tiablessings No problem. If you have any more questions feel free to ask and I wish you success with your journey.
  7. Hello Tiablessings, I completed my pre requisites prior to starting the program. I am not sure about the straighterline credits.
  8. Hi My experience thus far is going great. The material can be a lot ,but it is doable with studying the material. I’m working part time which helps me put more time into school. The professors I have are easily accessible and are responsive to Emails and or calls. I was skeptical at first but that’s how I was about my first program as well. It was better for me to jump in and just go for it because there is something that may be positive or negative about each program but the point is getting through.
  9. I found it. Thank you.
  10. Thank you so much. I actually couldn’t find it. Is this in the noodle section under a specific class ?
  11. Hi , how do we do this? I’m currently in my first semester.
  12. Hi everyone, I am from Ca attending ICHS nursing program. I was a part of the New student orientation today and am a part of the February 2021 class start date. Thank you
  13. Hi, I’m a Lvn from the Bay Area,Ca. I will be starting the program February 8. If anyone want to connect or share similar clinical dates please don’t hesitate to reach out.
  14. Thank you all for your support. I’ve been contacting the old job to get all the write ups no response. I recently went to the facility and the higher up nurses (D.O.N, ADON and others) were fired or quit not to long after I left the company in December ,and when I went back the new managers tried to rehire me. I passed on the opportunity. I won’t work there no matter who is in charge. Just went to have a copy of documents.
  15. Hell nurses, Thank you all so much for your help. It was needed as I felt so stuck especially being new to nursing. I ended up resigning from that location. It was very overwhelming and not a healthy place to be in. One of those jobs where you just show up although you much rather not walk in. I didn’t work this hard in school to not enjoy what I do based on staff and the environment. I know not every environment is great but I have found a better place. One with staff that actually teaches me, answers all of my questions , have extensive training. I really feel welcomed here. I wish I would’ve passed on That first offer That gave me such a bad experience as a new grad but now I truly appreciate where I’m at. Thank you all once again.
  16. Kooky Korky, There was so much unprofessionalism I documented everything in a journal and will reach out to an attorney on Monday. Thank you so much for your advice I will use it.
  17. Faculty Rn thank you so much with your help writing a resignation letter
  18. I understand this was my first job out of nursing school and I was just trying to support my family
  19. Yes I’m already suspended before talking to the director. Do you think that I should attend the meeting on Monday? Or just be done with this place.
  20. I’m now in another situation at this job, i did a med error onFriday and on the next shift the patient had to be sent to hospital. When I returned to work Saturday morning the noc shift asked me questions and that’s when I realized i made the med error. I acknowledge my wrong to the supervisor and asked her what to do far as documentation (because I’ve never been in this situation before)she said she will talk with Assistant Director of nursing. so i worked Saturday morning and in the evening after my shift the job called and said that I am suspended for three days and then in the same conversation she said I’m suspended until further notice but to come on Monday to speak with the Director of nursing. I was surprised she suspended me over the phone and then asked for a meeting after. This sound backwards to me. As much as I have already felt targeted this med error is the icing on the cake for them to fire me before quitting. I have three interviews this upcoming week and I was waiting to officially land a new job. I almost don’t want to go to the meeting because I feel they will fire me, but I have to document the med error since the supervisor didn’t tell me which documents To complete. What are your thoughts?
  21. Thank you all for your responses, I wanted to hear another nurses opinion before making a decision.
  22. Thank you so much for your response. I will definitely do that.
  23. Hi everyone, I am a new LVN and have currently been working at my job for a couple of months now. I had five days of training which I told them I needed more training, the scheduler told me that he “believed in me” so I was forced onto the floor in my opinion due to short staffing. Very high turn over rate at this job. So ive been written up 8 times in the month of November, sometimes twice in one day sometimes two days in a row. I explained to the supervisor that I was never taught this and I should not be written up for something that I was never taught. She preceded to write me up.. I was also written up for calling out of work when I caught a flu and had an excused doctor note the supervisor said that it would be easy to replace me if I don’t want to work there”. I am very frustrated because I didn’t come this far to not love what I am so passionate about. I’ve been yelled at by the director of nursing for asking for help. I feel like I am being targeted. Who should I talk to about this? What should I do? Please help me and thank you so much.
  24. @JenniferLynWhat May I ask if you had to take other courses to bring your gpa up? And what was your science gpa? Also did you find it harder for you in being accepted into a program? I do plan to talk to an advisor first thing thing Monday. I am hoping to speak with someone who can provide a good path for me instead of telling me to change my goal which I dont plan to. Hoping for the best. Thanks for your post
  25. @pmabraham Good Afternoon Human biology is a class I will look into. When I previously talked to counselors they never mentioned it to me. Being that it was helpful for you in other science courses I'm pretty sure it will benefit my education aswell. I will do my research and see if it is available next semester. You are right there are different styles of learning and it took me a while to learn how I could obtain information quickly also. I am still moving towards my goal and learning from mistakes and I'm hoping for the best. Thanks for your help @tasha92337 Hello Wow I hope everything work out well for you. You have the opportunity to start over in your sciences and you have work experience in the healthcare field. Best of luck
