  1. I agree with not sending the letter, unless you are prepared to be out of work . The job market for nurses is tight. Get your résumé done and start applying . No matter how good of a nurse you are and no matter how great a job you do there is always someone out there waiting for your job. Be careful you really want to be able to use this job as a reference......smile and breathe
  2. Amen sister I've always said Nurses Do Not support each other Someone out there getting a Masters or PHD should really do a study!!
  3. Wow Bad situation for sure 1. Judgmental and dishonest nurses. 2. Wrong decision on your part Always do the right thing . There us NO room for dishonesty in nursing! 3. Sounds like you are working with some nurses with major personality problems and it probably starts at the top! 4. Work hard be honest pray for good result Good Luck!
  4. Same thing happened to me 50 something gets set up and railroaded out of a 15 year job by an arrogant 30 something administrator trying to move up corporate ladder . After 12 interviews was blessed to be hired by a wonderful organization insurance non profit I pinch myself every day Hang in there pray meditate keep busy and apply apply apply to everything!!!

I highly advise a State or Federal job. These are the only places that have pay and benefits and staffing that makes it worth it.

Is it for profit? If it is it won't ever change. Start looking now . The bottom line is not the residents and not the staff but the 6 figure salaries for the corporate executives and the bonuses for your administrator for saving money . It's true!
  7. It has gotten to the point where we need to watch "celebrity apprentice" to survive as nurses and learn from them .Undermining and throwing people under the bus are widely accepted.Nurses have never supported each other . It would be an interesting study . Regardless no one should work 70 hours a week. Look for a nice job with two keys points. You should feel happy and grateful to go to work. You should not have fear shrouding you . You should feel fulfilled as if you are doing more than earning a paycheck. Good Luck!!
