  1. Switching from Chronic to Acute Dialysis

    I am currently a chronic dialysis RN in Georgia and to be honest I am getting a little bored. I was thinking about going to acutes but wanted to know a little be more about it. Can someone share their experiences as an Acute Dialysis Nurse?

    Davita still have and hire LPNs, they are required to have one RN on the floor and the other nurses can be LPNs. the clinic I work for has one RN and one LPN each shift. I don't think LPNs are going anywhere in this company, because its less expensive to have one RN and one LPN vs two RNs etc. Not sure about the pay for LPN in that area. I'm a Dialysis RN in Georgia.
