I hope other people do not have the same experience with uncc/cmc that I was put through! In early February I was invited to interview, and then confirmed. I then purchased my flights ( from Oregon) , hotel and car rental, took off work for several days. Then a week before my interview I was notified I was in fact not eligible to interview! Essentially too bad so sad. So now I am out about $1000 and when I called the program director to ask for some kind of remuneration for my expenses from their mistake, I was told to temper my annoyance and frustration, because the anesthesia community is very small and I wouldn't wAnt to start out with a bad rep! Unbelievable!!! They can go to "$)/)&@"

There is never a "perfect time" to have kids! I had my first kid at 36, 2nd at 39 and will be starting crna school at 42 years old! ( I do feel 28 though:))

Bs chemistry 3.2 in 1994, then a little grad school work, bs nursing 3.9 in 2004 and straight to neuro trauma ICU at a level I for a few years, tons a ER experience, some OR and PACU. Worked as charge in every job, nurse practice councils, volunteer work etc. GRE 306 and 5 on essays Got on the waiting list at VCU and have a few other interviews. If it doesn't work this year, I will brush up on a few things and go for it again next year. It will happen, I have the passion and drive to make sure of that!

I have an interview at OHSU soon and was wondering about their clinical sites...they seem so spread out! Is it tough to make the traveling work?
