Paying Pearson-Vue seems to speed it up; your school should send a roster of graduates pretty quickly, so it shouldn't be that long... I applied mid april, graduated may 12, and got my att july 16. I was in Europe until August 18th and from August 1-18th i did the nclex mastery app 50-100 questions per day. When I got home, I did Kaplan q bank until the 26th 150ish questions per day. Took nclex on the 27th and passed in 75 questions. Your brain will remember where you left off!

OP, I think it's great you're concerned about your appearance in nursing school! I think it shows that you are eager to learn and that you don't want anything standing in the way of being the very best nurse you can be. I get being nervous about starting a program where you don't know what to expect. I get not wanting to be stereotyped for your appearance. I hope you find that this is not an issue in nursing school and that you were worried for nothing :)

I know in my school, they had the blank anatomy structures available online. What I did that worked wonders is printed color copies of the structures, bought those little plastic page insert things, and a wet-erase marker (the kind used for old-fashioned overhead projectors) and I would fill in each anatomy part and what it did/what it articulated with. I would check to see if I was right and repeat until I knew it down cold! Hope this helps!

Also, I don't think many CNAs are catching feelings about the pvt and definitely aren't being judgy about it.

The artists are affected by bootlegging. So they are not the same thing. Servers have to be serviced and maintained anyway. Doing pvt with a gift card and getting "the good pop up does not affect that whatsoever. Every single person on this planet is a liar.

I'm sorry, it does not meet the criteria for actual fraud.

Also, Pearson-Vue is an enormous company that administers a butt-ton of different tests I am confident it is a completely automated payment system in which no actual people are harmed by the pvt. Their servers can handle it.

You know, I didn't realize internet nurses were such harsh judges of character. I'm so glad these are opinions of online personas and have no impact on my real life whatsoever. I would like to believe that in real life y'all aren't this judgemental. So salty.

Plain and simple, that is slippery slope logic (if/then arguments tend to be). Just like if marriage equality laws pass, then before you know it people will be marrying their pet ducks. Totally ridiculous in my opinion.

Think abut it? Okay; I would be just fine if the nurse taking care of me or my loved ones did the new pvt with a $5 gift card and got "the good pop up" if he/she was providing safe and compassionate care. I would not discredit their character or integrity for doing that because that is absolutely ridiculous. If we let nurses with DUIs, bad credit, owed back child support, unpaid parking tickets continue to practice, I think someone who does the new pvt is really not the person I'm worried about caring for me or my family. If you're asserting that pvt participants who use a $5 gift card are in the same category as dishonest, integrity-lacking people who skip out on their taxes, children, student loans, credit card debt, what-have-you, well, I have to 100% disagree with you.

According to an online source (the free dictionary, maybe?) Fraud must be proved by showing that the defendant's actions involved five separate elements: (1) a false statement of a material fact,(2) knowledge on the part of the defendant that the statement is untrue, (3) intent on the part of the defendant to deceive the alleged victim, (4) justifiable reliance by the alleged victim on the statement, and (5) injury to the alleged victim as a result. In the case of using a gift card and getting "the good pop up" you are at least missing the 5th criterion for fraud. No harm, no foul.

But people who use a gift card with five bucks on it who get "the good pop up" are dishonest people who are devoid of integrity.

I accept that. I just think it can be all about you when it's all about you, but all about patients at work. You know the old "Wipe your feet at the door," kind of thing.

I don't think doing the pvt has any bearing on a person's ability to provide safe and compassionate care to one's patients. That's a stretch. If doing pvt is demonstrative of poor judgement, where is the line drawn? Nurses are not saints.

Good thing "did you do the Pearson-Vue trick?" isn't a standard interview question. I have strong feelings about judging someone's entire character based on a single act of "dishonesty." It's dishonest to say you weigh 125 lbs on your driver's license when you really weigh 145, too.
