  1. We need good phy nurses. I have 2 daughters that are nurses. They say its just babysitting. It is NOT. This population of pts are very fragile, the need caring, epithic nurses. On a daily shift you talk with your pts, have groups, educate them on their disease etc....
  2. If u have a VA hospital near you, they pay the best. Also, u get 5 wks vacation and 3 wks SL.
  3. OB is called in One facility I worked at did see pregnant pts No different care other then placing the patient on the correct unit The patients that were on pshyc Meds prior to pregnancy are evaluated by MD to see what they can take while pregnant. I have seen some pts continue there medications prior to pregnancy. It's an individual treatment team.
  4. You can go into Any of the fields, but Pshyciatric is a good start. I have been a pshyc nurse for 15 years. I have worked ICU ,pacu,OR,post-partum,l@d,etc... Take the risk. It's a very interesting and rewording field
  5. Working at the va/the pay is higher then any other facility
