relocating to Colorado Springs.
Have you found a job? I LIVED at Penrose St Francis when i was studying for my prereqs. Such fond fond memories there meeting other nurses who were on lunch during night shift who helped me with A&P. May i add they seriously have five star food most days? :) my mom and i go there for lunch sometimes. Being from the countryside east of The Springs, it is my dream hospital to work at if I decide to move back to The Springs once I finish school (2 years left!).

Puerto Rico school feedback - thread #2
Right, right.. Sorry I was confusing.. Was your MAT1033 course a clinical calculations class? What kind of class was it/what was it's name? College algebra? Career Math? Personal finance? Not all colleges use the same names/numbers so I just wanna double check and get an idea of what they want. I can't find an email address for admissions, only a phone number, and since I'm in Europe it's hard to call. I'll be there in a little over a week but I'm trying to formulate a plan in my head... Jelle_Belle what was your AA in? Do you think you'll be in the accelerated program?

California Pre nursing looking to finish program in Puerto Rico
Hi, geaamor. Did you go to La Inter or UMET?

Puerto Rico school feedback - thread #2
Thanks for the info, lstSmile :) Hopefully someone can give me some advice or useful contact info.. I want to take the math class and computer class (both are online if it matters) through my Colorado community college. I am sure the computer literacy class will transfer. But for the math class I am debating which to take to make sure it will transfer. I really want to take the "Math for Clinical Calculations" class because I feel like it would be more interesting and most importantly, useful. it's MATH 103, so it is college level, not a remedial class... Do you think it will transfer or will I have to pick a more general math class? My other options would be MATH 107 - Career Math or MATH 120 - Math for Liberal Arts... I don't want to take the Math 121 - College Algebra because I think it's above the minimum requirement and I haven't taken a math class in a few years. So my question is if you think the MATH 103 - Math for Clinical Calculations class will be accepted in transfer as my math class? If they just want college level math I would assume they would accept it. But if they are looking for a broader, basic math class then maybe not. Please tell me what you think, or what course you took that transferred if you didn't already have a BA. Here is the course description: Provides a review of general mathematics, introductory algebra and an opportunity to learn systems of measurement and methods of solving problems related to drug dosage and intravenous fluid administration. It is designed for students in the health disciplines. Topics may include algebra, graphs, measurement and conversion between various systems of measurement.

Puerto Rico school feedback - thread #2
Hi again, everyone. Today I was watching some vlogs about living in PR. Just kinda bored and excited about the move... One of the videos was made by a La Inter student.. It was a year old.. She wasn't in the nursing program, she was a business student. But she said that now the nursing program has ~1000 people on a WAITLIST to start the program...?? This is incorrect, right?? She said she heard this from her brother, who is in the nursing program. I'm super confused, and a tad worried, but I'm guessing she didn't know what she was talking about... If someone could ease my mind that'd be great :) I have applied and all that with the school, going there in three weeks for a visit and moving there in July. I already have my tickets booked so I'm really hoping I'm going to be able to start the nursing program in Aug! Thanks in advance.

I'm hoping someone can provide some input on how difficult the online gen ed classes are to complete over the summer? The sessions are only a month each. I just completed an online psych 101 course in 2 months and I felt it was pretty easy and do-able in a month. Does it seem easy to get good grades in the gen ed courses?
