  1. Hey Tracy! Sorry it took me awhile to reply.. Yes you can ask me anything just private message me. And I found out two days after I took my NCLEX that I passed, so right now I'm just waiting for my license number so I can start applying! :)
  2. I carried that Saunders book everywhere lol
  3. I thought Saunders (green book) was an awesome review book for content!
  4. Congrats! You passed!! I took mine on Thursday and I immediately did the Pvt, and got the good pop up. Saturday morning I did the quick results and found out I Passed!! :)
  5. Just an update: found out I passed!! Good luck! If you need any help just ask.
  6. Just an update. I took the test on Thursday at 8am.. Did the pvt as soon as I left the building and got the good pop up! Saturday I found out that I officially Passed!! Thankful to God and to all the prayers and everyone in this site for all the positive and encouraging words. I think that doing the NCSBN questions helped me in passing my test, they have challenging questions that made me push myself harder & to aim for a higher score... Good luck to everyone that's taking it. Pray and just breathe, walk in there confident you will pass..If i did, you can too!
  7. This is exactly what I did and it worked for me!!! except I did one content then 100-200 questions each day (but still similar, i googled, youtubed things i didnt understand) 6-8 hours a day, 5 days a week for a month. kemifair --good luck to you!! You will pass!! You can do it!!! Know that you can! believe in yourself! I know you can do it! I'll keep you in my prayer..
  8. Hi Tracy, English is my 2nd language also and honestly, I thought the Green Saunders book was an awesome book to review content (carried that book everywhere) those ones with the triangle shape next to it are the ones you need to pay close attention to the most. know your weakest areas, and start reviewing that.. When youre reviewing just take your time to really understand what youre reading.. look up stuff on youtube or google things that doesnt make sense to you.. if the disease doesnt make sense.. google it, read it or look at the pictures instead..or do both.. do what you can to understand it.. when you start doing that.. things become easier visualize and easier to understand.. next thing you know, youre actually learning and enjoying it at the same time.. you'll start to gain confidence and youll see improvements when you do practice questions.. also when you review you can try writing some stuff down (yes I know, everything Ive mentioned takes too much time, but it will pay off... trust me) after doing one content each day.. rest a little bit but try to make it a routine to do atleast 100-200 questions after it.. on the green saunders cd try doing questions by contents (do the review on the content you studied that day). Also I recommend, NCSBN 3 week extn. I only used their questions though.. But they also have contents. Anyway, good luck!! its getting kind of late.. but if you have questions for me just ask!
  9. determine 2012, I took the nclex PN yesterday.. I did the pvt right after and got the good pop up.. it made me feel a little better but im still waiting for the official result. so im hoping and praying.. anyway, i just wanted to say that I used the green Saunders book as well. Study the content and especially those topics with the green triangle on the side. I also used ATI questions (but that one i got from school) I bought the NCSBN 3 week extn and I did their practice questions. My advice is too really study your contents.. try going over one content each day and at the same time do about 100-200 questions each day.. ( I know its a lot but i guess just do atleast 100 a day) start with your weakest content. another thing i used is the study guide that was floating around here...I read and took notes.. all 35 pages, went through a couple page a day till i got through the whole thing...also know lab values (really know them) know isolation precaution, prioritization, and delegation. Good luck! keep pushing yourself.. i believe you can do it.. just believe in yourself.
  10. Thanks, I still haven't gotten the official result yet so I'm still hoping I pass. I'm sure you'll do great! two days before your exam just do practice questions.. Try doing questions up to 200+ straight so that you're mentally and physically ready just in case your comp takes you all the way to 205. The day before the test, you can do a quick review if you want.. but its very important to give yourself the rest of the afternoon to relax... Put your headphones on listen to a relaxing music and just close your eyes, relax your mind.. Say a prayer... Then go to bed early so you're well rested. The next day, its game time! go in there confident, know that you will pass.. Believe in yourself, YOU can pass.. and YOU WILL... stay calm and try not to be nervous..I know it sounds easy to say that, especially to someone whose about to take one of the most important test in their life.. But really.. Take deep breaths before you go in.. Calm you're nerves, and just know you got this! Also, TAKE YOUR TIME, try hiding the time so that it doesn't make you nervous (double click it to hide it) once in awhile you can look at it just so u know how much you have left. Don't analyze the question.. If you notice yourself analyzing the question, stop yourself.. Look away from the screen, Take a deep breath, relax and look at it again..then try answering it.. It might give u a better understanding of the question. If that doesn't work, say a little prayer in your head and ask God to help guide you to the right answer. Also, if your screen keeps going pass 85..90..100.. Don't panic, think to yourself "I'm still in the ball game.. I'm still passing.." Answer every question the best you can.. don't worry about the time, just do your best. Anyway, good luck to you!! You can do it! believe in yourself! I'll keep you in my prayer.. If you have other questions just ask.
