  1. For the first year you will write weekly discussion posts at a page a piece, as well as each course has 1 big paper and maybe a group paper. But you can do it.
  2. I'm also in this same program. I see a lot of the negativity about every school out there. I heard bad things about Kaplan, but found it to be a great school and got my BSN with no problems. Now i'm in Maryville, So far no problems. If you do well in school, you will do just fine!
  3. Kaplan is 2 courses at a time to be done in 2 years. Its not bad at all. Plus Kaplan was bought by Purdue, so we got that going for us.
  4. I was accepted into Kaplan and Graceland. I started Kaplan first and thought about jumping ship to Graceland. I like Kaplan so far, and it is a little cheaper than Graceland, and does not require the campus visit which would be another 2k. If you have questions about Kaplan or Graceland let me know. I think its best to go with your gut on the program you choose. They all have negative comments if you look around, generally about how someone was robbed of their financial aid, but ive yet to see any significant issues with any of these schools yet. If you have one please include specifics. Good luck everyone!
  5. I checked that Nrsysys verification thing from the council site and it showed me active 1 day after taking the nclex, before any results posted. So that may be another way to check for free.
  6. Took mine today too with same ending. Eghhh
  7. I used the online prep service called the atkins academy. It was the best thing I ever did. Its interactive via web cam, easy, and I passed the teas with a 78 and hesi with a 92 first try. I got into all the schools I applied to.
  8. Yes, would like to know what its like too.
  9. California board seems to only have issue with programs who lack clinicals. Other hybrids are fine. At least that's what I took from their email back to me.
  10. Did you go to excesior?
  11. I used TCN for some pre-reqs. I liked the online power points. I would not use them for any math class, as it was not easy for me to self study intermediate algebra. Its a little pricey, feel free to message me for more info. Its not a scam though, its just one of many companies that have a cliff note style set up so you dont have to read the books. Also, I did ok on the exams, mainly c's and b's, and like other companies they dont have 100% of the info, you would need the texts for that. I use studygroup and Sheri Taylors stuff as well.
  12. Medic625- I used TCN for all my Gen ed. Are you using the book and online mods or just the study guides?? Im think im going to use TCN or study101. Any other suggestions from anyone? 1 month a course seems doable. Im a ff/medic, so its nice to get other medics input on what works for you. -Tom
