  10. Hi, if theres anyone out there reading this, I am a new mom in desperate need of a job. I graduated dec 2011, moved to houston, had a baby then I took my boards and passed. Now I need a job. I really do. Not just for the money but I know the more I stay home the more difficult it is to use my license. I love helping people and that is why I chose nursing as a career. When I had my baby, the nurses were so nice to me and I told myself someday I would want to pay back. I am a good nurse looking for a job to fulfill my dreams. Any references will be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
  11. Oh im so happy when i see my fellow nurses being hired here in houston. I really need help with a job. Ive applied to tons of grad programs but Ive gotten no response. Im so ready to start working if only given the opportunity. My friend suggested this site cos thats how she got her job so if theres anyone out there willing to help, please consider me. Thanks
  12. Hey Kyrshamarks, Thanks but how do I contact you? Can you email me at [email protected] Or you can give me yours. Thanks for your concern
  13. hi you can send me an email to [email protected] I too graduated dec 11 and i failed the first time and passed just this last saturday. English is mt second language and I can tell you I understand you. During my first time i used kaplan and failed. but then i got my result and knew that strategy was not what i needed. so I signed up for hurst and ncsbn. i will listen to a topic on hurst and also read the same content on ncsbn. I read the questions in ncsbn and had to figure out how to naswer the question. I was not after the score cos i was getting even 40's on some. After i covered the materials my scores increased so from my own experince since you have been out of school for a while, I would suggest content and also when you answer a question ask yourself if the answer you choose answers the question they are looking for.
  14. i failed the nclex first time and passed the second time. My advice to you is that since you have been out of school for a while, start first with content. If you know why BP is going up and why it is going down then you can answer any question on BP. Strategy books help only when you are very comfortable with content. after i knew my content inside out i was able to device my own strategy on how to answer questions and it worked for me.
