Gwinnett Tech Nursing Program
GaMommy81 - Your GPA should be fine. I got in with 3.67. I don't remember my HESI score, but you have to get atleast a 70%. It just your typical entrance exam. I found it a little easier than the NET. I also had to do an panel interview. Good luck! Have you already applied?

NGCSU wait list
Hey vallie007 - congrats on being taken off the wait list. Did you get into the LPN-RN Bridge program or regular ASN program? I'm supposedly on the wait list for Bridge and they say I probably won't hear anything until their orientation day which is June 3rd. Hopefully there will be some people that don't show up ; ) Good Luck to ya!

Gwinnett Tech Nursing Program
I'm thinking 43 is not that old ; ) I'm 47, which means I will be pushing 50 when I get my RN. Trust me there are plently of "mature" adults in this arena. You won't feel out of place. Good Luck!

Gwinnett Tech Nursing Program
:yeah:Boy, sounds like we are going to have a good network of RN students at GTC. Congrats to everyone. I am interested in learning about some of your back grounds. I graduated from GTC's LPN program last June. I can honestly say it was one of the hardest but best experiences of my life. I am confident that they know what they're doing. I currently work in Labor and Delivery at Emory Eastside - as an LPN and OR technician. I was so prepared for the work force when I got out. I was also prepared for the boards after graduation. Our whole class passed the boards on the first try. I wish everyone the best of luck and I look forward to meeting all of you!

Gwinnett Tech Nursing Program
No, I don't mind you asking. It was 3.67 - Not great, but not bad. I had to take the HESI. I don't remember my exact score, but you had to pass it with a 75.

NGCSU wait list
:banghead:I also got put on a wait list. I applied to NGCSU LPN-RN Bridge program. When it all came down to it there were 55 qualified applicants total and they accepted 30. So I guess I have to wait to see what happens. Were you guys going for the regular RN-ASN program? Good Luck!

Accepted at North Georgia! Now what?
Woo HOO!! Congrats on being accepted!! I'm trying to get into their LPN-RN Bridge program. I got a letter on Thursday for me to schedule taking a drug calculation test in March. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed ; ) I REALLY want to get in. Are you doing the RN or Bridge program? How many were they accpeting? I was also told that it would be end of March to 1st of April, but I don't see how that's going to happen if I'm taking a drug calc. test on March 31st. Maybe they'll let me know that day. Anyway, good luck to ya and congrats again, Cindy

Quick question......How hard?...
I'll be starting on July 5th. Got orientation on June 4th. I have never been so excited about anything (other than the birth of my children), but I am sooo nervous about the unknown :uhoh21: For those of you who've been in the program, was it harder than expected? What kind of advice can you give me in regards to staying organized, motivated and handling family along with clincals? :trout: I'm looking forward to the challenges, but I am one of those "forty something" students, so I keep questionning myself on whether I can handle all this or not. :lol2:
