Whatever you do, do not go to Excelsior!!! Total rip off monetarily!!! I just enrolled in North Central Texas College.. Everyone I have dealt with so far has been really helpful and nice!! It's an LVN to RN with a BSN pathway. Look them up... www. NCTC.edu. Good luck!!

There is absolutely nothing here for LVNs unless you want to work at a nursing home, or for home health!!! Trust me!! I have been an LVN since 1988 and have been back in school off and on all that time... My employer is forcing all LVNs back in school to get their RN, there are only a couple of us in the whole hospital, but we had to meet with the CNO and sign a paper stating that we would have our RN by a certain date, or we would loose our jobs!!! Best to have a BSN to get any good positions, at least around Dallas anyway!!!

Congrats! I have been a LVN since 1988... Back in school for RN because absolutely no one hires LVNs anymore!!!!! It would be worth it to just do your RN! I sure do wish I had!!

I was in the same situation! All the fees were so overwhelming, and the though of the clinical..... drove me back to a traditional college. I am waiting to see if they will accept my excelsior credits tho... Doing LVN to RN with a BSN pathway.... Good luck to you with excelsior!!!
