In 2013 a total of 32,719 were killed by cars while 8,454 were killed by guns. Sounds a lot more rational than your use of the word gerrymandering.

Maryland has draconian gun laws and Baltimore has a 48.97 per 100,000 rate for 2015 which is still rising.

In order to carry concealed you need a permit. To get a permit you need a weapons class. The weapons class has more hours than an armed security guard weapons class. As for the cops do you remember typing this: "Are you saying that all concealed carriers have the skills of that particular off-duty cop?" but than turning right around and saying "Who's talking about policemen? I'm talking about concealed carry by health caregivers."? Do you feel being protected by armed security guards who have less training than a CCW holder? If you buy on the internet you have to have the gun transfered to a FFL first unless it is a private seller who sells less than 5 guns a year. Of course a private seller can take your money and run, sell you a broken gun, or sell you a gun with a homicide attached to it.
