  1. I spent 5 years in the Canadian Forces. (Non nursing trade). Being somewhat accident prone, I found myself meeting quite a few health related trades. In my experience though, most were medics, a few doctors, and the nurses were a lot more rare. Not to say there aren't any, but medics (who make much less than a NO) in my cases did most of the assessments before handing me off to the doctors. This probably isn't very helpful to you, but your post got me thinking about how few NOs I actually met. I wish you good luck in the CF!
  2. Hi! I am currently at the Cornwall campus doing prehealth so I might check some things out there. And I'd like to squeeze in something in brockville since I'm not familiar with the campus there. Do you know which campus you will pick?
  3. Which campus of St Lawrence College? I've been accepted to both Brockville and Cornwall for BscN!
  4. Our marks have been posted online, but we haven't gotten tests back or had a class with that teacher until tomorrow but from everyone I've heard from, everyone failed or got in the low 50s. (50 is a pass). I got in the 60s which I was disappointed with. Is that crazy that EVERYONE did so poorly?? I had a 4.0 before this class. So did a couple other of my classmates. Has anyone else been in a situation like this? Is the teacher to blame if we are all doing this bad?
  5. Congrats on your acceptance! I'm currently in prehealth at St Lawrence. I've been out of high school for a few years but I'm personally finding the classes easier than the high school versions if the classes. It's a good way to get a taste of college life too before entering the nursing program.
