Hey, I just spoke with Human Resources. They mentioned that L&D phone calls have been made. Has anyone heard?

I have yet to hear any news, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and trying to envision it.

It's true. Anyone can catch a baby. I've watched completely unprepared fathers catch their baby in their home (for example) plenty of times. Of course, those of us who are trained and have been 'catching babies' for years are much more graceful at it ;-)

Thanks cbbb that's good info. I have my 3rd interview with L&D. We aren't fully immersed with Versant but will be doing all of the orientations and some of the didactic courses with everyone else :-) I'm crossing my fingers that I get it (there is some damn good competition out there)!

Is it rude to ask this: Does anyone know (roughly) what the starting pay is? Do you think it's OK to ask during a 3rd interview or wait for them to bring it up. I'm just trying to get a ballpark figure.

I would not move to California until you have a job. Some people find that it takes at least a year to find a job in California. There is no way to generalize wages either because in some parts of California the hourly wage is $28 bucks per hour and in other parts it can be $90.
