Prairie View Fall 2018 BSN
Not sure if I have the right place to post this but I am currently ADN-RN and want to attend PV for their RN-BSN transition but am wondering if they they still require the 5 year science rule for people that are already RN's just returning for BSN.

Yeah I went back and applied for a few that opened back up and in total applied to 27 different ones from Med Surg to Tele, PCU and ICU and about two hours ago they emailed me rejection letters for the remaining Med Surg and PCU that I had applied for so I'm all tapped out at this point. I did goto a interview in Baytown yesterday but I did set up alerts for THR and will even apply after passing boards. It does make me feel some kind of way when you get 27 letters saying no lol but I am a firm believer things happen for a reason, but I am extremely excited for everyone here that did get an interview and a position THR will have some awesome nurses coming with fresh skills and ideas so I hope they are ready

Parkland Dallas, TX Nurse Residency Spring 2018
It is a real bummer. I did see a manager while walking through the halls one day and asked why was it than some preferred to have a BSN over an ASN when the positions are for entry level floor GN positions, and what is the difference far as skill wise....and I'm still waiting on a definitive answer, LOL but I really do like Parklands teaching atmosphere. Unfortunately like most i too am in the waiting game but I have found luck in Houston area getting call backs after one week of putting in applications but Parkland is first choice

I see that now, I will have my ASN right now...had to take a different route for BSN with life's punches. I'm still keeping a look out for anything that comes up at THR, but I did decide to take interviews offered in Houston at Methodist and Ben Taub, just figure if it's meant for me to be back in Dallas and Fort Worth area life will have some way of taking me back there lol. I just know I like the way THR is structured for the Nee Grad and facilitate on a great learning and professional experience

The majority still read " Application in Review Process", I applied to ICU, PCU, TELE through Dallas, Fort Worth, Cleburne, HEB locations. Some did go from considered to filled/not selected. I mean it would be cool to at least get an interview though lol but I wish I knew what they were looking for because total I applied to multiple positions I know over 15 and it's just really depressing

Yes some of them are but I was told if the floor wants BSN only they will state it in the post. I have also applied to some other hospitals in the are as well as Houston and Austin but I really enjoy the way Parkland teaches and embraces is transitioning and new to nursing GNs. Congratulations on the OB when will you know something?- Parkland Dallas, TX Nurse Residency Spring 2018
AWESOMESAUCE congrats I hope that you snag it. I have 2 in for MICU/PCU and one for SICU that haven't moved, the status changed on the 20th to "reviewing all applications" but that's all, starting to think maybe they don't want ASN for the positions and I'll be forced to start on med surg í ½í¸«.- 2018 Texas Health Resources GN
Awesomesauce congratulations, I'm still waiting lol. Did you experience the current emailing of the priority and preferred list they sent out- 2018 Texas Health Resources GN
Okay does anyone have any update, I have multiple that are in review but its so nerve wrenching lol- Parkland Dallas, TX Nurse Residency Spring 2018

I applied back in August to 6 MICU positions that were posted and rejected by 5, still have one that says in the review and applied for the SICU position the moment i saw it posted in clinical lol, how would I be able to get in touch with a recruiter to check on the application that has been in review for about 2 months? Parkland is my first choice far as learning and gaining a good experince.- 2018 Texas Health Resources GN
I pretty much went through and applied for anything ICU and PCU related but majority of them have read "application in review process" for over 2 weeks now and once went from "considering" to "not selected for interview" idk if it is the fact that im an LVN, graduating ADN, or fact that my address is in east Tx or whatever because my resume and over letter are good and have been compared to what is trending at the moment. I have also applied to a few positions with Parkland, Methodist Dallas/Houston. Any ideas as to why I might be moving along in the process so slow??- Nurse Residencies in Dallas February 2018
I was told the same thing from Parkland, guess thats why one of mine has been sitting there looking at me since last month lol, I did apply for a few with Methodist but it is a very slow progression like one is in the active part has been for about 3 weeks. Really do hope that out of all the ones applied for THR that I can match up with something, I have a few in at Fort Worth, Arlington, Dallas, Plano, Cleburne. Did you apply to any of the specialities offered? - 2018 Texas Health Resources GN
