Failed NCLEX RN 7 times. Need help. Any suggestions are welcome.
I'm in Texas as well! For content I read through the hurst, but the rationales are good enough on uworld that I just focused on that.

You can select by systems and topics, or mix it all up. You get 75 max questions. It tells you the percentage of how many people got that question right and it gives you an analysis comparing to other test takers at the end of each test. From what I heard the setup looks like nclex. You can choose to repeat questions or you can select unused questions.

Try uworld.com I haven't taken my nclex yet, I take it in 2 days, but I found uworld from people posting about it on allnurses. I also have done the hurst review, but I prefer uworld. For $50 you get 1700 questions with amazing rationales! Best of luck to you!

Does your school receive your NCLEX results?
It might be a silly question, but does the nursing program you attend get the results of your nclex? Like do they identify you individually by name as pass or fail, or does the school just receive something like an overall percentage of pass/fail?

Sam Houston State University Fall 2014 BSN
3.4 > Teas 80 > 114 students applied for spring 14 fall will probably be more applicants.

You get to choose from the options they give you. As far as large hospitals probably not like the nursing schools located in Houston. St. Luke's in the woodlands is probably the biggest. I believe Texas Children's Hospital is on the list for pediatrics (3rd semester) Sam also offers several study abroad opportunities.

Sam Houston State University Fall 2014 BSN
I like the program alot. Sam was not my first choice, but I think it is the best program for me. The professors are great! We don't have as many professors or students as other nursing programs, since we are still fairly new, so everyone gets to know each other quickly which is good. I just finished my first semester in May and I'm currently in summer semester.

Sam Houston State University Fall 2014 BSN
No they accept several sociology courses. If intro is what you took it will be accepted. You can call and verify but I'm sure. Also the 1 hour kin class is fitness for living at Sam which is equivalent to kine 1111 fitness and wellness at lonestar.

UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)
- UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)
Overall 3.29 Pre req 3.4 Science 3.65 Hesi 90% overall CT 880- UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)
I got an acceptance email! I'm shocked! Just to give some hope to future applicants...you never know what they're looking for in applications. I've been watching this thread and past threads and felt stupid even applying because my gpa was no where near what other people were posting, but I was still accepted on my 1st time applying! With all that being said I am declining because I am already in a nursing program. UT Houston was (still is) my dream school so declining this hurts. Good luck to all of you!- HESI Study Guide
I own both copies. They are pretty much the same except the 3rd is in color. I believe you can do well with the 2nd edition or 3rd. The first time I took it I only had the second and scored a 93 overall(March 2013 I took A&P, Grammar, Reading, Math). The second time I took was last month(A&P, Reading, Math, Grammar, Vocab, Learning styles, Personality and Critical Thinking) I scored 91 overall.- Any Sam Houston State University Spring 2013 prospective students out there?
Did you hear anything? I should have applied to lonestar just in case, but I was so sure I was getting in I didn't. I plan on retaking my TEAS and really studying for it. I won't make the mistake of just applying to one school for fall. I have several I want to apply to (UTMB UTHSC TWU Lonestar and Midwestern State) - UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)
