  1. I have submitted an application for the traditional loan repayment. I am a WHNP applying for the MCTA. First time applying.
  2. Hey the professor who interviewed me says Duke finds your clinicals for you, besides my coworker just completed her MSN-DNP program at Duke last year and they found all of her clinicals for her. Did you get accepted to Duke? I definitely agree it would be a shorter commute to Drexel. Which program do you want to go to?
  3. I got in WHNP!
  4. Hey @botanista I live in NYC as well LOL we are officially grad school buddies. Let me know what program you choose. But I agree Drexel would definitely be cheaper, I am concerned about having to find clinicals at least Duke would do that for you.
  5. I have the same feelings. I would wait until you get your acceptance, review your financial aid package, then make your decision.
  6. Did everyone receive an email about the application decision timeline?
  7. My application now says under committee review as well.
  8. Congratulations to you as well. I suspect that I will have to pay the deposit and accept admission as well.
  9. Does anyone have to respond to another school soon? I need to respond to an offer letter by Friday and based on Nora's response it doesn't look like I will know about my decision by then.
  10. I had my interview today and was told late March, possibly the first week of April.
  11. I was just accepted into Drexel's WHNP program fall 2020 start!! Good luck everyone!!
  12. I just got accepted to Drexel's WHNP program for fall 2020 as well!! Good luck everyone!
  13. Congratulations!!! When did you submit your application?
  14. Same here I submitted in December for the WHNP, it still says screening in process.
  15. Great that's awesome and congratulations!!! Hopefully more good news to come.
  16. Thats great to know! Thanks for sharing that bit of information with me. Let's keep our fingers crossed. The wait is a bit agonizing. Did you apply to any other programs?
  17. Did you apply yet? I submitted my application. I am hoping they do an early review.
  18. Yes. I received a potential interview update.
  19. I applied for WHNP Fall 2020, my application also says under committee review.
  20. Are there any current or past Drexel NP students on this forum? I am a bit concerned about getting decisions from other programs earlier in the year and still waiting for Drexel's decision. Anyone have any experience with this situation? What did you do?
  21. I think it depends. Are you receiving any benefits from your current employer for school? If you are I would stay where you are. Most employers require full time employment for at least a year before giving you tuition reimbursement. Also when you complete clinicals this can be an opportunity for you to make great connections which can lead to employment after completing school. Seniority matters when trying to get days off and vacation requests. Also having a good rapport with your manager can make schedule requests more favorable. On the other hand if you are not receiving tuition reimbursement from your current employer you can switch jobs. But IMO you should probably stay put.
  22. Hi, Did you submit your application yet? I am applying for the Women's Health program for fall 2020. I have 6 years of experience.
  23. This is not true for NY there are certain online NP programs approved by NYS Board of Nursing but you still cannot complete your clinicals in NYS you have to go to a neighboring state.
